Awful but I do think any team would struggle with three now four strikers out injured. We would’ve likely scored in that first half and it would’ve been a different game.So what’s the injury news with Stockley, Washington and Aneke?4

Just not good enough. When Matthews and Leko start after their ‘performance’ on Saturday you know we are in trouble. I think we’ve enough points on the board but it just feels like a relegation season. No heart. No luck. No points3

You can see why Curbs was successful. He makes things sound simple. I know it’s a bit of a go-to when we’re struggling but could Jacko do with him in as a wise head?10

There must have been worse Charlton teams and even worse runs of form but it's hard to think of them right now. This season is such a crashing disappointment. After the excitement of Sandgaard's takeover, the return to the Valley after the Covid enforced absence and the anticipation following our decent end to last season under Adkins, I really felt this was going to be a season to remember. It has been, but not for the reasons i imagined. Can't wait for the season to end. Just hope that we don't get dragged into a relegation fight. League Two would be the final ignominy - even if that looks about our level right now.11

Totally outplayed again.
Thing I don't get is how we sat back and let mkdons play. Surely we could have put a couple of old fashioned tackles in just to remind them we were still there. But not a sign of it.

As much as your right about the players missing RED, we really haven’t set the world alight with them have we?, apart from a few results when JJ was caretaker. I’m a little bit behind you in supporting years but yes the overwhelming feeling is sadness , in the past if we haven’t been good,we’ve at least made up for it with fight. Played alright first half for the most part and some of the second, still got brushed aside in the end. That's.... A big concern.

Sick of the persistence with this formation. The same things happen every week. The wingbacks don't get forward, long balls catch out the centre backs and the ball between the CB and WB costs us a goal.Said it on the last post match thread, the injuries are tough to deal with, but that does not excuse the defensive mess we are seeing.A month or so ago I questioned whether Jackson had a plan B, I am still not seeing anything to suggest he has. You want him to do well, but he is increasingly looking out of his depth.We will get nothing at Sheff Weds and all of a sudden we have lost 5 on the bounce and it becomes a tailspin. Teams struggling will see us as a soft touch and fancy playing us to pick up points. Where as before the likes of Gillingham may have come to the Valley looking for a point, they will now be looking for 3 points.I genuinely believe we can get sucked into a proper relegation battle. Would you back any of this mob if we need 3/4 points to stay up from the last 2/3 games? I certainly wouldn't. I have seen worse teams and worse players but am struggling to remember a bigger set of gutless losers than this group.It's shit, I expect it to get worse and don't be surprised if we go into the last game of the season needing something to stay up.16

He took over mid August so inherited someone else’s squad with potential late transfers. Perhaps he’s just a better coach?5 -

I thought we were alright in the first half and could see there's possibly a good side there with our injured players back in. Once we went a goal down though, you just knew we weren't gonna get anything out of it. Most of these players at the minute have got absolutely no bottle at all, it's a joke.
I dunno, maybe I'm just annoyed after a loss.. It just feels like these players go missing the second it gets tough.
At least Rotherham beat Morecombe, it's the only half positive I've got.2 -

And the only forward we had on the bench was Kanu, who's played what? 10 minutes of League One football? Would you really want to risk shattering his confidence for the slim hope of him getting a consolation goal, especially given that we weren't really making chances at that point?sammy391 said:
