People were moaning that we didn't replace our best player in January and it turns out our best player all along was a child we've convinced to chase after people like they murdered his cat
I know you mocked those who doubted CBT but which of him and Kanu looked like they had a match to win tonight

We certainly weren't great in the first half. Second half we were absolutely light years ahead of Derby, Brownie and Curbs summed it up, we are now organised and everybody is working twice as hard.

    We’re going to finish 14th.
What I predicted a couple of weeks ago, but got laughed out of town.
  • Huge result.
To get 5 points from the top 3 teams in the league is a massive achievement.
Fantastic from NJ and the lads.

Such a difference a solid keeper makes.

Coventry, took his chance. Superb second half.

    Kanu, Anderson. Absolute quality.

Watching the stream second half you had a great vantage point of Jones. What a breath of fresh air he is to have in that technical area.

Chucks and May, well done lads.

That win felt like a Lee Bowyers side in our promotion season and I mean that comparison in the most positive way possible.

The effort, grit, determination,  organisational second half was exceptional WHAT A WIN

Nathan's got us playing the way we should, oh yeah! Something tells me we're into something goooood

    Up the addicks!

Get in. What a result that has been deserved for the effort and work rate of the last few games. Longest 8 minutes ever at the end.

That win and results has really pulled loads of teams into the mix now. It also means with our goal difference port vale and Cheltenham need to win both games in hand.

It’s good to see the all defence supporting and talking to each other. Great to see our team back again. Onwards and upwards.
  • It won’t get any better than today for Charlton.

    Points deduction for Reading

1-0 down 1-2 up and win at Derby …

All other results go our way with Stockley grabbing to late goals to earn a draw at Port Vale.

Most of us couldn’t see that happening.
Great birthday present. I'm 57 tomorrow.
You moan on here like you’re much older.
  • Yessssssss!!!!!

    Heart thumper

  • Agree with all being said . Also congratulations to all the supporters who travelled up for the game  keep the faith 🙏
  • Nathan Jones, I have nothing to offer other than my wife.
Can we have a 'Wouldya'. Just asking for a mate who manages a lower league club. 😉

I think the biggest moment today was DamoNorthStand announcing before the game that he was no longer going to mope about us being relegated and had dramatically defected to Team Staying Up. That if anything broke the spell

What a great feeling to win again. Feeling a bit drained after that. Brilliant.

Lucky for Jones that he finally fluked a win otherwise he would have been sacked and rightly so.

But seriously, what a much needed result and what a monkey off the team's back.

Very brave of Jones to play with Aneke, May and Kanu but got the reward.

Jones seems to have simplified things and is getting more out of the players as a result, Anderson and Kanu in particular.

Like every other Charlton fan I was dreading conceding late on.

We now need to have a strong March and open up a much bigger gap above the bottom four.

And if and when we are safe we need to ask how is it we have gone head to head with the top three sides, remained unbeaten yet are still in a relegation fight?

But for now just live, love, laugh and be happy

Lots of plaudits, understandably, for Kanu and Anderson.  But I think Small was absolutely oustanding and Aneke really changed the game.

Drop Dobson and look what happens! All you Andy Scott doubters take note….

The last two games have perfectly demonstrated why that solid defensive base is always the foundation for success. It was ugly, it was hard to watch, but, even though we conceded, we were still in touching distance. Crucially, that meant when their keeper had a rush of blood to the head and we got that bit of luck for Kanu’s shot to bounce back to Anderson (who still had plenty to do, btw), we were scoring goals to win three points, not rescue one.

Fair play to Nathan Jones for turning our defending around so dramatically. I really hope it lasts.  Also, great managerial vision from him to pick Kanu, Anderson, and Small (who, let’s not forget, couldn’t get a game in bloody Scotland) as the players to turn us around. The three of them, all under 20 (!), have made a huge difference.

The warm inner glow of a well deserved and hard-fought win on the road. It’s a been a long time, but welcome home my old friend – please stick around for while.

Would that be the same Andy Scott who didn't want the Jones boy to come in ? Run him out of our club !!!

Why can’t we play 3-4-1-2 ? It gives far more threat

Nathan's attitude is what we need, if you need to get out of trouble be nasty and play nasty, being soft gets you relegated.

These players now know their position is not guaranteed so they're working harder.

Northampton is a another big game where we must be on the front foot and win, no excuses, anything less is  unacceptable after the last 3 games.

I imagine if things carry on and we get safe Nathan will not accept any slacking until the end of the season... He'll want to keep the momentum going.

    So proud tonight.
  • Never in doubt. You can be quietly confident and not brag about it. Even at 0-1, felt so sure so made a little investment at 22/1 against.

Still unbeaten when Chuks plays this season by the way - 11 games now - 21 points gained
