Heard from a source within the club yesterday that Watt is already unpopular. Maybe bollocks. Just reporting what I'm told.
From todays showing Id say that the opposite was true
Going back to the warm-up and shooting practice with Dmitrovic where he showed him his appreciation for being in goal whilst he took some shots to the moment Igor went off when Tony applauded him going off along with the fans (Something Ive never seen a player do)
Prior to him joining he was classed as selfish / lazy / not a team player amongst other things yet today he was none of them, nor did he go hiding when we were playing long ball when it didnt go his way.

Going from social media he appears to already have a good relationship with some of the players.
Heard he has fallen out big time with a supporter he booted the ball at as the whistle went at half time. He did wave his hand though by way of apology.
Whatever division we find ourselves in next season , Igor and Tony have to be the two we build our team arround! Fantastic strike partnerships and exactly what we have lacked/needed for many a season!

He has the work rate of Simon Church matched with the ability of a professional footballer - he looks like a brilliant find and the sort of player Igor was waiting to play alongside.
He reminds me a little of Fuller when he has the ball at his feet and has three players round him, he will come away with the ball and all you can think is ... how the hell does he still have control of that ball?!
Really nice to have players who are dangerous on the break. He's comfortable on the ball and makes incisive and direct runs with and without it. The Vetokele/Watt partnership is exciting.
In fact if the front four attack minded players that played today keep turning in performances like today then we will have no trouble scoring and will be able to stay up comfortably, there's not many defences who could cope with the pace and skill of all of them at once. Big if though!
Did anyone hear his interview on bbc London tonight? Seems like a great lad and very down to earth. Fast becoming a fans favourite if he isn't already!

Yes, I heard it, was class. He was asked why he gave his shirt away at the end, he said he wanted to make someone happy as the fans have been great to him from day one. There were reports in media he was a bad egg it fans have backed him from the start.
I don't go in for over-praising or indeed over-criticising players. But i genuinely think that in Tony Watt we have a potential folk hero at Charlton. His work rate and skill are exceptional. Today he showed that sometimes a pass is the better option than a shot. He already seems to like being at Charlton and i already like him being here. Melrose, Mendonca, Hales .................... Watt ?????
Many of my best mates are Scottish and we had a Sunday league team back in the day. The two best players are Celtic diehards. They hated to lose and could coax better performances from lesser players like me. I loved playing with them. They used to say that a team like Charlton could do with some Scottish players to give it some "backbone". That said, they were pretty iffy about Tony Watt, felt it all went to his head after his goal against Barcelona. Maybe, just maybe, he has realised that he has something to prove, and appreciates an unpretentious bunch of fans who take him as they find him.
Can't believe he is only 21. Great player. Has a unique style about him in the sense that he has good feet and control even though he looks like he shouldn't, if that makes sense.
I am pretty excited about him. All action performance today and as Tutt-Tutt has already said he held the ball up, linked the play and was very direct when he had the chance. Him and Igor look like they could be a very good partnership.
The hi-light for me is the fact that he looks like he is abaolutely loving playing for us.
Given the shite time he had in Belgium perhaps he is determined not to waste this chance.
Fast becoming one of my favourite players, he's strong, skilful, direct and reasonably quick. Very hard for defenders to play against especially when they have someone as quick as Vetokele to deal with as well.
For 'ours', think we should probably read 'Roland's'...but also probably fair to say that he wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the network, so suppose at the moment that should be a small credit to the owner?

Class player if we can keep hold of him
