RM: “I think we need to communicate with supporters better. The Board accepts it’s not been as good as it could and they are taking a number of steps to improve that.
“But it’s important to realise that no football club gets all things right. Under the Iain Dowie and Alan Pardew eras we spent a lot of money on transfers and many of them either didn’t work out. All clubs have their issues that they must address, we all know that, but it’s very easy with hindsight.
“Equally, by being financially prudent, we’re not in the situation where we have to sell a player to pay the wages next week. I’ve been in that situation before with Charlton Athletic when I was one of the owners, and that was also the case with the previous regime.”

My favourite part was when Murray defended the decisions made by RD and KM by pointing out that things didn't always go right when we had Pardew and Dowie. You did that you old fuck!
To be honest, the entire time I was reading it I just thought 'why would I listen to you?' Murray's as much a stooge as Karel, it's just more disappointing considering what Murray used to be to this club.
All those questions are softball, but it's funny he says we couldn't have legislated for overseas players not adapting quickly because of injuries and 'squad imbalance'. Who do you think caused the squad imbalance? It's like whack-a-mole this. Every time you point out something the other issue pops up. 'we don't have enough good players' 'but we spent £9m' 'but they're crap' 'well, overseas players take a while to gel' 'why didn't you sign fewer overseas players?' 'there's a squad imbalance.' 'why is there a squad imbalance?' 'we spent money on the training ground, football is hard!' etc forever23 -

On face value there is little wrong with what he has said. However it very much is not in the spirit of what KM has been spouting. Ate the very least RD should be sacking KM for incompetence, lying to and misleading supporters. The protests haven't come about just because we have lost a few games (we are used to that!).

A lot of bullshit that basically adds up to - Roland saved us and player budget has increased by 40%. Yep we've recruited badly, but we did it badly in the past as well so swings and roundabouts and all that yeah? Oh and we've learnt from these sobering lessons. Look. We've signed three players with championship experience. Lets not mention that one has been injured for two years and one we didn't deem worthy of a contract 6 months ago, it means we'll be fine now.
