Fill your boots folks. They want to hear from you at fans@cafc.co.uk

This is what makes it so brilliant, literally done ON THE DAY they created a new email address for fans!*

If they can't get away with saying it's a hack, there's always the University of Greenwich students to blame isn't there?

  • To demonstrate how odd this statement is, I am posting on here for the first time in years rather than just reading others messages!

It just seems to be the complete opposite to Sundays message, where the clubs tone was apologetic. This last statements comes across as confrontational.

What makes it even weirder (apologies KM for using one of your phrases) is that it is buried on the website, not even the top story! And not twitter link. It's as if the comms team know how ridiculous it is.

    Dear Fans,

Last Sunday, some individuals did not come to The Valley to watch the game and support the team, but came to create disorder on the pitch and interfere with the players and the game. Disorder which is, allegedly, needed to drive change in ownership and management.

Whom would they expect the club to be sold to? How long would a sales process take? Is it easier to sell the club when it is in League One rather than Championship?

Some individuals seem to want the club to fail. This is a confused approach, since following this logic leads to exactly the opposite of what we all want: staying in the Championship... etc

The club has simply responded to my complaint - that the second paragraph of every article repeats the opening paragraph which in turn is a slightly longer version of the headline.

Credit where credit's due - they're prepared to change.

There's no "as if they know" about it. They'll be gutted about posting this and desperate to bury it.

I'm still having trouble believing this is for real. If it is it has clearly been written by an unstable person; in fact it's not far short of a rant. Can 'Roland' back up his statements about these so-called meetings... eg. dates/times? One can only hope the media have been copied in to this. Think he needs a bigger spade to deepen the hole he is digging for himself.

This looks like it's been penned by an inebriated intern.

What a quite extraordinary load of self-serving and intemperate drivel. I almost feel embarrassed for them.

The cracks are really now opening up.

THis is up there with the Graham Moore faux pas. Perhaps this was also students?

Roland is becoming more and more like a wrinkled Kim Jong-un every day. Issue a statement which is utter bullshit and then expect everyone to accept it. So, any chance of a picture (heavily photoshopped if necessary) of Roland alongside those fans he met? Or of Squirrel Face chatting happily with her customers? No? Thought not.

Can we print the statement on beach balls - then at least we can derive some pleasure from them being spiked, as the statement should have been done before it was issued.

    This puzzles me.

What's happened since that statement about the new email address went live? Or the statement yesterday with the empty platitudes? This is a complete U turn.

The truth be told I can only think he or she is watching our response and realised it's a lost cause. Combined with drink you get embarrassment.

It pains me to say, but if that is the case and Katrien has been reading and reacted this way... then I genuinely fear for mental well-being. I worry not only for her state of mind but her safety. She needs to be removed as soon as possible and, dare I say it, as an employer Roland needs to look after her for a while as his duty of care.

I despise the woman for what she's done but this U turn and the way that statement is worded does still make me concern for her well being as a fellow human being.

If you are reading this Katrien, resign. It WILL blow over if you go, most likely by the time you've sorted yourself out. Yes you'll need to rebuild your reputation but so have lots of people. No job is worth your mind, take it from me.

How long would a sales process take? 20 minutes

Is it easier to sell the club when it is in League One rather than Championship? Certainly. Give Pete a call on 07983 ********
  • What the fck.

He's had a shandy and fancied taking us on. Comms team so embarassed they aren't promoting it on social media and they are burying it on the site.

Christ, bread and butter for the media this.

It very much has a People's Republic of Charlton/1984 feel to it. Very weird!
