Unless she was giving Katrien a one way ticket back to Belgium she wasn't trying hard enough!ME14addick said:Mel was at the training ground today and seemed very genuine in trying to put things right.

This makes me wonder if this is the case. She's been pulling the wool over his eyes in terms of the real discontent - he's now seen it with his own eyes, and wants a explanation - she's had a grilling from him, and gone home and had a few too many Leffes - maybe she's already been 'relieved of her duties' and wanted a parting shot before the staff got to know in the morning ?SE7toSG3 said:We are reaching the end game now, what a very bizarre turn of events,
It looks very much RD was not aware of the scale of unrest until Sunday, I suspect tomorrow could be very interesting....0 -
You know when you wake up with a hangover and check your phone fearing what you said last night?
That's Rolands world tomorrow morning2 -

Sky Sports have it on their news bulletin10

That's right!LuckyReds said:Not sure if it's been mentioned, but it's rather ironic that the club posted this message -complete with a jibe about finding a new owner - whilst we had a team playing at a club ran by a man who knows a potential buyer... #awkward
Honestly, how we will explain this to our future children/grandchildren? I'm genuinely not sure I believe it myself. I've had to switch over to the US primaries (which don't make sense at the best of times) to see Donald Trump leading by large numbers in large states (?!?!?) just to have something feel semi-normal again.4 -

Things that we've done well on social media over the last couple of years:
1) Shagging in the centre circle video
2) The Bournmouth 19-0 tweet
3) Our subs bench a few weeks ago
4) Tonight
In generating interest terms, our comms work is top notch.8 - Sponsored links:

I can't remember the exact date, but I remember reading that the clubs meeting with it's sponsors is supposed to be happening soon.The_President said:

Can't be the only one who thought i was going to have a nice relaxing Tuesday night!5

Blimey. If any negative feedback has filtered it's way back to RD, that might explain the mental episode he had tonight.Rob7Lee said:

The man's a complete crackpot, he still doesn't get it!1
-
I suspect he's been boiling over since Sundays game, maybe that was the first time he's actually realised the discontent, who knows what info he's been fed.
Certainly the time to keep the pressure up.
Wouldn't be surprised judging by his mood if he won't be on a plane first thing in the morning.1 -
The Belgian 20?Airman Brown said:Astonishing stuff. Let's just take this statement: "in recent weeks Roland Duchatelet has met the fans".
Simple question: who were they then?

Maybe the FA investigation got to him - likely to result in a substantial fine.11

The footnote which tries to address the use of the word 'wierd' by offering the replacement sense of unique is clearly the work of Katrien Meire.
This does demonstrate clearly that she is rattled but alarmingly it shows that she is still even now sticking to the central theme of her argument that we should she ourselves as customers first and foremost and to detach from any emotional attachment to the club.
This, allied with her statement last year that 'I don't care about the history of the club' proves beyond any shadow of doubt that this woman is never ever going to understand what it means to be a fan of Charlton (or indeed any other club).
She is an unfit person to be in a senior position at Charlton Football Club and should be removed forthwith.
This should be a simple business decision and in a boxing analogy to save her from further punishment - she has lost the plot pure and simple.24 - Sponsored links:

Just in...read first seven pages and jumped to the last couple. Would read the rest on the plane home tomorrow, but suspect I could be on terrorist alert with the amount of expletives just reading and thinking about this particular Belgian mindfuck!cafc999 said:
I think she has already left several voice mailsNug said:Mell will be on the blower to Charles and Maurice Saatchi first thing in the morning
As for poor Mel, she's been emailing fans@saatchi.co.uk for her old job back, but the auto-reply sent her to info@saatchi.co.uk...which just binned the email as usual!!
Bye Roland & Kat...it's been a blast...6 -
Add to that the majority of current sponsors telling him they won't be parting with any more money to him from now on in, these are all things his spreadsheets haven't accounted for. More money out and a lot less in. Every little movement we do as fans will crack him further, we have to keep the ball rolling with clever ideas.Weegie Addick said:Maybe the FA investigation got to him - likely to result in a substantial fine.

One possible outcome is that RD treats KM (as its clear its been written by her) in he same way he does with his managers - so, she is removed and sent packing back to Belgium, and we get another sub-standard Belgian replacement,0

Just had a shit long day at work and this has put a huge smile on my face
Thank you Roland!5 -
"Is it easier to sell the club when it is in League One rather than Championship?"
I guess it all depends on price, but you should have thought about that before you fucked our club up you prix.31 -
I'm really annoyed that I wasn't here early enough to:
- Give a unique reaction to the statement
- Post an appropriate humorous reaction gif
- Post a humorous comment
- Reference Colin
- Give an actual well thought out response to the statement (it's a bit late)
- Repost a previous humorous comment and hash it completely
So I've gone with the meta humour as listed above.
I suppose my two cents, for what they're worth - get the fuck out you incompetent bellends.30 -
'How long would a sales process take?'
Depends how long you take to answer your emails and give prospective investors the courtesy of a meeting, which incidentally could have been cut and dried by now!20 -
Last Sunday, some individuals did not come to The Valley to watch the game and support the team, but came to create disorder on the pitch and interfere with the players and the game.
Must be the new 'communications manager' taking communication to the 'next level'. Their recent groundbreaking interview with Roly has convinced me that the club is in good hands.olster said:Things that we've done well on social media over the last couple of years:

Well, it's been rollercoaster gents - but before I go, allow me to leave you a timeline of the last 3 hours, in the medium of Tay Tay...
It started with seeming confusion - had a tantrum prone toddler really been given control of the clubs communications.. Surely it was just a hack?
After much debate and painful inspection of the poorly generated markup of the page, it was confirmed... The post was real.
As the news sunk in, the overwhelming sentiment was not one of anger or hatred, but of sheer concern at the new level of absurdity that the situation had reached...
A level of such absurdity clearly called for it's own absurd medium of conveying it, and for me, that medium was the swiftmeister herself..
Alas, I enjoyed it so much I think this will be my new medium of conveying poignant messages and short stories..
Let's face it, it makes about as much sense as anything else has this evening.28 -
I think this has been put on the OS to undermine KM, might be wrong but the quote at the bottom of the article is from her and has been added in, It's significant i think, might be wrong but let's see what happens next.The_President said:One possible outcome is that RD treats KM (as its clear its been written by her) in he same way he does with his managers - so, she is removed and sent packing back to Belgium, and we get another sub-standard Belgian replacement,
