Must be something about ex Charlton players 1st game in charge against Plymouth - Powell’s was a 2-0 win against Plymouth as well.
Nice to see a Charlton team play a decent bit of football and put some commitment in. Bowyer was right, he promised 100% effort from the players, and they delivered his promise.
Reeves looked a different player. The change in formation (the change that everybody else apart from the previous manager knew needed to happen) worked a treat. JFC was back on it again as well, which is key for us.
Ajose put in a real shift, was unlucky with 2 good attempts on goal. He linked up well and put in a real “team” performance.
And what a belter from Page!
No crap post match huddle either.

What a game. So happy. Can't remember the last time I came away feeling so positive. Long may it continue! COYR!17

How un-Charlton, new coach bounce!
Well done. No WANKERS!!! from Soapy this week.7 -
So Curbs was there....just taking in a game or do @Airman Brown or @Redhenry know more?11

Up to 8th 55 Pts 2 behind Pboro & Plymouth with game in hand.4

Well done Lee Bowyer, Well done Charlton. Listened on VP sounded like it was a much improved performance. See, Karl Robinson. We do have the players to go 442. Up the Addicks10

so so good. watched on stream. no bad performances. thought ajose had an absolute blinder, fair play - maybe the best game i've seen him have for us. very impressed by dijksteel too. no one had a bad game though. robinson is a f***ing joke hahahaha!
knowing our luck, we'll get new owners in next week and they'll appoint karel fraeye permanent interim manager...8 -
I like to be first to say what a great job Karl Robinson did preparing todays team to play 442 so sorry your gone. All downhill from now on.5

Lol, I was just going to post you know we are having a good day when Soapy's posts in the match thread do not contain "wankers", "Fuck" and "Gobinson you prick"soapy_jones said:How un-Charlton, new coach bounce!

Would KR have fielded that team in that formation. NO NO !
Thank god he's gone.22 -
Fantastic ! A victory against inform opposition, 3 points & a new formation. Well done to Lee Bowyer & Johnnie Jackson & the whole team.12

Listened on Valley Pass, we sounded in control for 90% of the game. Commitment from the whole team and playing for each other. I think Amos only had 2 saves to make? Amazing what 4-4-2 / 4-3-3 can do, and all this against the form side in our League. Well done Lee and JJ, this could be one hell of a week for CAFC!!! 3 precious points and the play-offs may not be a out of reach after-all. Get in!!7

What a difference that was. On that performance it just shows how limited and sterile Robinson was. We actually played as a team and not as a bunch of individuals. First time this season really. Chalk and cheese that was. Well done Bowyer and Jacko. On today's performance anyway, we've got our Charlton back.14

Trying not to get over excited.
But failed miserably!20 -
Good win, but I remain suspicious (and don’t want to celebrate too early) that a takeover is still sometime away!
Not ITK but would be very charlton!

We looked like a completely different side! More positive, confident, direct and capable. Everyone had a great game. Long may it continue...would add Dijksteel was MOM by a mile.3
-
100 times better than of late! Passion, commitment and desire were evident on the pitch not just the preserve of a press confrence sound-bite. Amos’s early save was crucial and not a poor performance from anyone! Great stuff!4
-
Brilliant. Some really good performances. Pearce and Bauer won everything in the air and Dijksteel was so strong in second half. Zyro and Ajose playing as a two look so much better. A belter from Page who did well at full back too. What’s not to like. Lee Bowyer has given us hope. That’s dangerous!6

15 points above the last relegation place.
Not mathematically safe yet.19 -
Not so much new manager bounce but an old manager exorcism. Clearly the team have been dieing to change things up tactically as much as the fans.8

Listened via the web. It sounded like a completely different team out there. Clearly Robinson had lost the players some time ago as they just weren't performing. We hit a Plymouth side in great form and managed to win comfortably, now if we can win our game in hand we'll sneak back into 6th position.
I want to believe...4 -
Have a look at the pre game chat with the commentary team and @Ollywozere face when they mention the takeover. Trying to hide a massive grin.sammy391 said:Good win, but I remain suspicious (and don’t want to celebrate too early) that a takeover is still sometime away!

The whole team played well very much in the mould of how bow used to play , we were good in possession we played at a good tempo and for the long periods were comfortable on the ball in dangerous areas I think 3 or 4 nil wouldn’t have been an unfair result
See if Robbo is watching playing two up top creates space to play football it realieves pressure it motivates the players and we have the players to do it
Showed more about how wrong KR was with the players he had available than how good bowyer got it
Key positives for me
Hungry players for the ball
Clever in play fouls in the right position to allow us to get back into position and slow the game down
Positive forward momentum
Decent desire and agressive tackling
If you could describe Bow as a player all of the above would be in the narrative
Really enjoyed today

Can tell I'm out of touch, only found out about iFollow at half time but managed to see the second half.
A shame I didn't get to see the goals but what a performance, show's this group have got in them on their day and with the right management. Huge credit to Bowyer and JJ, absolute heroes.
Thought we did a great job nullifying Plymouth, they hardly got a sniff apart and we reduced them to a few speculative snapshot efforts. Lovely what a change in tactics can do!
Special praise for Dijksteel from me, looks a real good quality player. Some of his touches and tackles reminded me of an in-form Solly. I don't think he put a foot wrong at all from what I saw.
To a man I was so impressed with everyone but a special shout out to Lewis Page, never going to be first choice while Dasilva is here but he showed his capable of stepping up. Let's hope he can keep himself fit and really push on from here.
There's a long, long way to go before we have our Charlton back but let's enjoy today and see where we can go from here.
COYR!!

3:17 Charlton go two up
Me verbally: don’t get excited just a one off, new manager boost.
Me inside my head: wonder where everyone will drink before Wembley.
Facepalm.10 -
Key things for me today:
No 4231
No Magennis ; Zyro is considerably better
No Solly. Dijksteel is raw but far better already now4
