Summer 2019 Transfer Rumours (ed. Pg 296 - Start of Deadline Day)

Same shit, different transfer window.
What do people honestly expect at this point?3 -
I do wonder why Bowyer cares that we don't get any money from players if he doesn't see any of it

Anfernees dad is a big part of his life and from what I’ve seen and heard he is happy with his sons progress now (not always the case).
i just hope this isn’t another “Poyet” situation where the player thinks he knows best0 -
Can you imagine the meltdown when Lyle Taylor is sold in the January window 😮0
-
Ah absolutely.soapboxsam said:
If the money for Dijksteel doesn't go back to Bowyer to spend, other than to Duchatelet. I would rather keep Dijksteel to the end of the season as it would be a great achievement to be 21st or above. If he then walks who cares because I would be amazed if Bowyer stays beyond this Season as the non sale of Charlton persists.cafcfan1990 said:It’s not entirely Roland’s fault, Bowyer has said he doesn’t want to lose players on frees, which is of course good business sense.
What is Roland’s fault is no
money is reinvested and the contract offer is probably shit anyway.
Not surprised but always gutted that any youngster that finds any form leaves.
If Leeds sacked their manager around Xmas say after losing 3 on the spin, and asked to speak to Lee, Duchatelet would say no way: 2 million up front and Roland would say I don't want to stand in his way and if the whole staff went with him I would expect he
would Check out what Nebojsa Vignjevic is up to.
But I think it’s sensible to accept a bid (maybe not 1.9 though) if a player wants to go abc has 1 year left on his deal.
But 100% that money should be used on getting 2/3 players in from the clubs point of view.3 -

The problem is he's probably left the club to little Tommy in his will.000__Jaaaaay__000 said:think if lyle taylor is sold i will seriously consider hiring a hitman0 -
I’m thinking Dijksteels head was turned and maybe he has promised a bit of the money. Which will undoubtedly be a liejacob_CAFC said:I do wonder why Bowyer cares that we don't get any money from players if he doesn't see any of it0 -
If RD had any sense he'd offer AD a bumper contract, keep him for another season and then he could command a far higher transfer fee.
RD is just an utter f***ing tool and I loathe him. I bet he gets off making people miserable - a sad excuse of a human.2 -
Anfernees Dijksteel's agent told him Middlesbrough is next to sandbanks and Poole.WhenIwasLittleBoy said:Of all the places, Middlesboro, has the lad ever been there ?6 -

Blimey, we must be the only club ever to get promoted and then proceed to make the team worse! Then still talk about staying up. Madness absolutely madness23
-
Far more likely that it will be the agent who tells him what is "best" (for the agent, natch). And jeez, doesn't RD make it easy for agents to spin that line...Swisdom said:Anfernees dad is a big part of his life and from what I’ve seen and heard he is happy with his sons progress now (not always the case).

Where did the money for Bonne come from? There must be some kind of system in place to recycle funds.
Otherwise if LB is given 200k as a budget for the season there is no way hes spending it all on a national league striker.2 -
"Tottenham Star" - very happy to get him on loan, looked very competent for them preaseason for a 17 year old, but 'star' is taking it a bit far.charlton_hero said:3 -
Have always thought that Bonne was more a Driesen signing than Bows/Gallen personally because of exactly that.CharltonByBlood said:Where did the money for Bonne come from? There must be some kind of system in place to recycle funds.

Agreed. To me there are 2 separate issues here.cafcfan1990 said:

One is Roland's gross mismanagement of the club and contracts, disinterest in he club and selling players to cover his losses instead of giving Lee a reasonable (dare I say it Millwall level) transfer and wage budget
The other is whether we should accept a bid of £2m for Djiksteel if the player has only one year left on his contract and wants to go (which seems to be the case - Boro IS a step up from us, that's the current reality).
To me the problem isn't the price - which I think is decent - but the lack of money being given back to Bowyer.5 -

Don't know if it's 100% true, but heard this0

200 k for Bonne , one for the future?
As a club are we really in a position to buy unproven players for 200 k hoping he progresses when we can only offer first team players a pint of lager and a packet of cheese and onion crisps to stay?
If Dijksteel goes surely Voldemort will give Bows the money to strengthen.
All down to Duchatelet not having the foresight to tie down Aribo , Dijksteel , Grant , Bowyer etc to 3 to 4 year contracts this time last year.
98% of fans knew their worth to the club apart from the 2% headed by Duchatelet1 -
I find it hard to believe Bowyer would let players be forced on him, but presumably it could only be Driesen if it was?Valley11 said:

Another thing, please do not for one second think Lyle will sign a new contract. Why would you? A player who has done a fantastic job in league one and is off the mark already in the championship, why would he stay at a club who has absolutely no ambition to be successful. He will not be here next season, I am certain.14

Maybe Acworth, now he really doesn't come cheap.0 -
My reckoning is Bow found the keys to the petty cash tin while Duchataway was smashing the moves on a 50/80s holiday in Ibiza. 😀CharltonByBlood said:Where did the money for Bonne come from? There must be some kind of system in place to recycle funds.
