Had a few issues with the website, but got through to the ticket office and Chester was excellent. All sorted for the North Upper for me and dad and he also sorted out contact for me to get a lift pass for dad. Can't wait to be back!5

Theres an effective online model in place now that just hasn’t been the case in previous years, and as we’ve seen with the release of away tickets since this system has been in place, it seriously front loads purchasing with big day one effects.
what that does allow is lots of positive messages off the back of it which helps build momentum as others get encouraged by the positive noises. How far that will stretch though is the big unknown
On the basis we’ll be in L1 and with no standout enticing discount on offer, what would people see as a good return of ST holders next season?6k / 8k / 10k / 12k ?0 -

Season Ticket renewed for the 24th year
Part of me thought about staying at home and watching them on IPTV going forward. This last year has made me too comfortable and things too convienent, not having to travel up to SE7 on a Tuesday night etc. and was something I was always worried about hence why I never boycotted as didnt want to find something else to do with my Saturday effectively.
With what I've had to watch through the Roland and very brief ESI days
How can you skip what we might potentially see under Sandgaard - Impossible not to want to be there14 -

I wouldn’t put any weight at all on the number of early purchases. It’s being driven by two things - large number of regulars who didn’t buy in 20/21 wanting to secure their seats and desire from core supporters to show backing for the ownership.I bought mine at 9.40 yesterday and the rest of our group did over the rest of the day - both criteria above apply. It doesn’t tell you anything about overall numbers. We’d all have bought anyway but later without those factors.
in response to the post that it will be “an insult” to TS if we don’t get 12,000, I’m not sure about the basis for that figure, but who will be insulting him? Clearly not the people who have bought and will pretty much represent the same cohort of around 10,000 who have bought since 2009 (allowing for churn). I don’t think we’ve had 10,000 in L1 since 2009/10 or 12,000 since 2008/09. Hitting10,000 sold (not comps, staff etc) would be an achievement.
The “insult” would presumably be from people who have never been season ticket holders (or at least since the PL and immediate aftermath) or for whatever reason (finance/geography) can’t justify buying one. It’s the same logic which taunts people who do travel away about the size of a team’s away support.
Finally, it would have been usual to release STs by early April to exploit uncertainty over league status. I think the suggestion the actual timing was affected by recent results is unlikely to have any substance.6 -

If - by some miracle we did go up, I wouldn’t be surprised if we had in excess of 15k season tickets

got through, spoke to a nice young lady who was very helpful. Seems I hadn't taken into account my kids CAFC cash and when she added that on I've got 1 adult, 2 U18's and an U11 ST in the NU for £384

thought i had some charlton cash left but appears i don't but if i'm honest, i'm not bothered as i want to back TS and the club as much as poss now the crap owners have cleared off - i'll probably be down the club shop wasting more money on stuff i don't really want or need soon - i appreciate some people may have money issues but the quibbling over a few quid on here is a bit embarrassing really as i'm sure most of those people will easily waste the difference in the club shop or in the pub or the foodstall over the season so really makes the odd £20 or £30 very minor - bit like going in the hairdressers after lockdown - i'm happy to pay a bit more and give a tip - people who run these things have suffered much more than me and as long as the prices aren't taking the piss, which i don't think they are, i'm happy.0

Just that I cant remember reading this anywhere?

Two things:
Firstly:
Based on those figures anything over 7k is decent in this division IMHO based on recent history.
Yes, we now have a decent owner and boycotters are returning but we're also coming out of a pandemic which will have hurt some people financially and others will have lost the habit/got used to streaming games instead.
8k would be good, 10k very good, 12k exceptional IMHO @AFKABartram
Secondly:
How open the club is being about sales.
In two of the last three years they didn't give out exact figures but we are getting a running total, Blue Peter Appeal style. It does suggest a more open and inclusive style of communication and trust. Why not tell the fans how the sales are going? It might just generate more interest and perhaps sales.
