Imagine being some bloke who would be given the run around by the under 14s sitting at their laptop and confidently saying a professional footballer playing in the first or second division is 'dogshit' or 'dreadful' with 'no footballing brain'. What a weird life. I wonder if they heckle window cleaners and dentists as well
So unless we are better than a footballer we can never describe one negatively?

.....following the theme, a not quite ex player Yanick Bolasie (I seem to remember he was not granted an overseas permit to join us) is now without a contract, slow 32yr old winger anyone ?0

He was born in France so wouldn't have needed a work permit. He was on £4 million a year at Everton, I doubt he is in rush to join our "project".0 -

Nigel Adkins was in town today ....0

With Amos, he’s solid enough at this level but I don’t think there’s a realistic shot that he is a first choice goalkeeper for anyone in the Championship. He’s had the chance at a handful of clubs and never been able to keep the shirt.
CMG (yes, that’s his new name) has never been tested at that level. So... he may be good, he may flop. But one thing is for sure, we know the “floor” (top end L1) of both talents is about the same. And we know Amos’ “ceiling” (struggling Champ) isn’t much higher than that floor whereas we’d have to wait and see just how good CMG can be.
It’s definitely an either or conversation. Can’t see any world in which we carry both players.
Scott Carson's gonna be available...0 -

Or are you now saying we should sign players who improve the team, regardless of whether they played for us before?
I don’t recall Piggott doing that much for us in his first spell yet you’d have him back even though, by your logic, he’d not be as good second time around? Maybe me but that makes no sense if we want to get out of League One.

I think you have got Bolasie mixed up with Bolanos.8 -

Danny Green started his youth football with us, was definitely better than that 9 years later
Danny Haynes similar but less so
Jason Euell was a shadow of his former self when he returned in 2011 but was an able squad player for 3rd division football in that title winning season and his time with us since then has been worthwhile, hasn't it?0 -

He’e either been with us before or he hasn’t LA! It doesn’t matter how many he times he played in the first team, the fact is bringing him back would be his second spell at the club.0 - Sponsored links:

RonnieMoore said:Cafc_lifer said:Surely we want to poach the best L2 players. Paul Mullin scored 32 in 46 for Cambridge last season. Scored 11 more than the second highest scorer in the league.
If the team is poor or the set up is not right, or meagre service/lone forward - it's a struggle for any striker to score goals, no matter how decent they are for the level.
And if they are capable of scoring plenty of goals that they've created for themself, they won't be playing for long in this Division!

Jeeeez. No rumours just grown men bickering. Definitely close season.9
-
Because I have even started to confuse myself:
Joe Pigott - ex Charlton striker, aged 27, just been released by AFC Wimbledon at the end of his contract.
Joe Piggott - 21 year old Altrincham striker, who as far as I know has never even stepped foot in SE7.3 -
Olly Lee (Robert's son) has signed on permanently at Gillingham .0

You've earned your lol, old chap.
