    Interested as to why people think we waited until last week to bid?  He was with us on loan and openly saying he wanted to join.  Why did we wait?  Not a criticism just interested to know why.

    If its news its intresting as it was a done deal weeks ago, then agreed before he went on holiday.  He had been looking at houses and a cricket club and now we have just put a bid in?

    Maybe it's our second or third bid, or even best and final (I know everyone loves a house buying analogy).

    I am actually finding the lack of leaks refreshing to be honest.

    Can't wait for transfer window to close, to finally appraise what TS is all about. So far it seemed that he was just stabilising the club. Now is the time to show his intentions. The team budget and business that gets done in this window, will say EVERYTHING about his future plans for the club and his as owner.

    I know I will receive adverse comments for this but here goes;
    we do have Ronnie Schwartz who is also a striker who like Stockley missed a penalty last season. I know Ronnie didn't get much playing time but that may have been due to a number of reasons including away from his family and his wife due to give berth. I just feel that he needs to be given a clean slate from us and see how he gets on this pre season.

    Genuinely hope he’s given a chance to prove himself this summer/season! 

    A full preseason, hopefully being more settled in the area and a team full of newbies will spark something

    There was no transfer u-turn was there? Stockley never committed to either club.

    Everyone on both sides (PFC & CAFC) got carried away by the news that Pompey had a bid accepted, thinking it was a done deal.

    Even with this news that he may favour a move to London, he’s not yet a CAFC player.

    As Henry says, weetos.

    I just hope that after all the hype he's worth it.......

    I'll also stick my neck out that if Stockley does sign then that's the strikers pretty much done & dusted apart from a youngster in on loan/ from the lower leagues/ U23's. We'll have Stockley, Schwartz, Washington & probably Aneke.

    Stockley is an old fashioned CF who will thrive on crosess and then we would need old fashioned wingers to supply them which we don't have

    If that is our strikers then I will be more than happy for next season in league one. There wont be many teams that can match that line up imo.
    And I know I'm going to get pelters but I still havent given up on Ronnie coming good ( ducks and runs for cover )

    I’d love it to work out for him but will he ever get on the pitch? Adkins likes one up front and if we keep Aneke and Washington then you know who’ll be coming off the bench each game. 

    I asked this a while ago but haven’t seen an answer, do we still have 5 subs next season? Having an extra two (or two less) subs every game could drastically change how we look to build a squad.

    Think it was more to do with defensive injuries to be fair.

    Also an attack that saw Adkins win 5, draw 4 and lose 1 of his 10 games in charge.

    Played mostly against the top sides in the league.

    I'm not saying we should keep them all, or not strengthen. But I wouldn't be blaming our strike force on us not getting play offs.
