  • Everyone starting wanking themselves into a stupor when we went 1-0 up. But as predicted we settled down into a rhythm of a shit side against another shit side.

    Boom! 1-1.

Top 3 players for each side according to FotMob (not sure who marks the players)

A dozy prick if CBT ain’t on there. Morgan 7.5 😂

Can’t get over how easy it is to neutralise us. On the very few occasions we’ve played well this season, such as the first half today, all it took was minor changes for the opposition and we look clueless for the rest of the game

Sandgaard has picked up English sarcasm then.
  • He claims a lot that bloke... Talks out of his arse too much

Adkins having a veiled whinge here about the summer recruitment.
  • Adkins talking the same old bollocks in his post match interview.

Obviously a great first half, just needed that second goal.
Second half we reverted to type, nobody offering space in midfield.
Taking Washington off a mistake as he tracks back well.
Leko was a bit blah for me.
Morgan didn't play badly, but didn't get too involved, so disappointed.

Controversially for some of you but I thought Ben Watson played really well, a cool head and he offered himself the whole match.

Davison held the ball up well, right now I'd pick him in front of Stockley.

Welcome back to Ben Purrington. Very solid and gave us balance.

Finally CBT... unplayable first half... if he could do it 90 minutes what a player he would be.

The worry for me is how we end up falling back and playing too deep. Second period we were  again playing into dead ends.

Brave selection, too bad it didn't pay off.
Adkins bought himself a little time.

On a plus side I bet £10 on lee scoring first half and another £10 bet on him scoring second half just logged onto Bob's lot and won £160.00 as apparently both paid out as 1st scorer and last scorer lol no idea how that works

Adkins now blaming the late recruitment strategy. That is down to the owner and his recruitment advisers. However critical we are of Adkins,  let us not forget that was a total clusterf...

I didn’t see an onslaught. I saw both teams score 1, them hit the post once and their keeper making a very good save.

The below doesn’t suggest an onslaught. Their only higher stat was bookings

He clearly knows fuck all about football to be celebrating that.  Jesus wept.
    How's that a celebration?

It's the bullshit positive spin.  It's a point against a depleted Gillingham team and one of only 5 out of a possible 24.

This set of players and/ or this manager are clearly not good enough for a serious challenge for promotion/ top 6 finish as is surely the goal in the first season in ages when surely that is not an unrealistic expectation.

It's clear to see that this team is going nowhere near a promotion push on what we are seeing so far and I won't buy into the optimism of a point at a poor Gillingham.  No doubt Adkins will be up soon if not already waffling on about "the positives" and "good spells" etc.

We did well for the first half and then went backwards and conceded and could have lost against a very poor Gillingham side.

This is not the season that anyone expected surely?  I dont think we're entitled to success and we will stick with it as fans but I'd rather he and Adkins wind in the eternal optimist bollocks as it becomes very meaningless and shallow after a while and we're 5 points out of 24 and in the relegation zone of league one.

Of which he is entitled to do.

Tommy-boy fucked him good and proper.

This is not what he signed up for.

If you judge it on today & ignore the first 7 games, it was a good point.

We needed the 2nd goal when we dominated the 1st half.

2nd half Watson mostly & Morgan reverted to walking & the back 4 had no one to pass to, to create anything.

  • Gillingham had 5 senior players out I read.  Bar Innis that was our strongest available squad to select from.  Started brightly and CBT was terrorising them but then not good enough to get 3 points.

Completely deflated as have not seen anything to suggest we are going to push for a top 6 finish which is an epic failure if that's the case.

This does not look like a team that has a promotion push in its capabilities.

Well done to the supporters who travelled to the game and were loud throughout.
Not exactly loud throughout. First half yes and bits of the second and certainly the boos at the end.

I won't disagree CBT should be in there.

A quick Google suggests it's a computer based scoring algorithm measuring all stats input about each player - I think it's the WhoScored algorithm but not certain.

Just to clarify, I'd start the same team next game in the same formation.

We should focus on continuity from here on out.

As I say every time it gets brought up (usually bemoaning our lack of shots)... Shots on target mean f**k all if you dont put it in the net - Ironically I imagine that shot on target from Gillingham wont have been the goal as it hit the post

    Naby never hid
  • Big difference in the first half was that most of our passes went forward. Second half was back to what we've seen all season with the back and sideways passing in our own area. Teams must know that pressing us causes us to revert to this type of game and that's what Gillingham did in that second half.

Better but a long way to go.

Schoolboy error stuff in defending the short corner that led to their goal.
    I mean wtf!
A better performance but against a depleted Gills side so it means little.
Had Stockley started perhaps the game would have been put to bed in the first half.
