**Adkins Gone - Jackson Caretaker**

Not read all the comments on here, got work to do.
Listened to the Talksport interview, TS was asked if the fans were for or had turned on Adkins. His response was along the lines that a minority of gobby fans wanted him out. I paraphrase BTW.
I'm sure that TS has come under pressure from lots of knobs giving him unwarranted abuse but to try and spin the sacking that way seems very strange and of course far from the truth.1 -
If Adkins never got the job and it was handed straight to JJ earlier this year. I wonder where we would be now.
Would have also saved a £1m or 24 -

Getting rid of Adkins is only a part of what needs to happen. Having Roddy is this role has brought no positives to us, and when the areas he is charge of are highlighted by the owner as failing he still stays in the job.3 -
Saturday should be a free hit for JJ first game that matters is Doncaster, give him Saturday to work out what he’s doing3

I'd still bring Curbs in, separate to JJ, just to cast his eye over the club in general and produce a report recommending improvements for TS.2
-
JJ got the job easily by just mentioning what a wand of a left foot Jacob Roddy has! He's being fast tracked as a right back, seeing as Matthews and Gunter can't defend off their back foot.0

In many ways Sunderland away is a great first game. Nobody is expecting much from it and I have a suspicion that Sunderland aren't that good. With a diamond midfield and the quality we do have, I think we can frustrate them. It is going to be important that we carry a threat and I think Stockley and Leko up top ought to pose problems.2 - Sponsored links:

Sandgaard talking to Jim White & Simon Jordan on TalkSport this morning, begins about 21 minutes.

I can't comment about Shaquille O'Neal as the only thing I know about him is that Larry David tripped him up, but as for Sandgaard, yes he has a big ego but so what? It doesn't seem to me to be a problem at all other than in the heads of those who want a stick to beat him with. Why on earth should any Charlton fan care about the size of his ego, do you seriously suppose that it gets in the way of his running the club? Absolutely no on-one is treating him as a god, frankly the claim is ridiculous. What is true though is this club has gone through a massive period of instability - and still faces one with the separation from its key assets. Unless you are aware of a massive queue of multi-millionaires lining up to take over, Sandgaard is by far and away the best option we have to bring stability. I would hate to see that jeopardised.21 -

There's nothing wrong with talksport but we hang around there a bit too much these days0

Gives us a slightly unfair advantage I'll Grant you but I reckon we could come away with a point.14 -

My deepest sympathies and condolences to the 57 arseholes that LOLd me back in March when I pointed out that Adkins was an “awful appointment.”
Also in my thoughts and prayers are the jokers that tied themselves in knots trying to convince people that his 33% win rate at Hull was not an abject failure.
To be fair though compared to this season with us - win ratio of 15.3% - his time at Hull was a raging success.
After Jacko won that game vs Bristol Rovers we should have given him the job till the end of the season to see how he went, there was really nothing to lose.
Now there very much is.4 - Sponsored links:

This team wouldnt be anywhere digging deep with NA in charge.
The talent in the team isnt the issue...can they play better 100% but they were set up all wrong from the get go.5 -
Farewell Nigel and best of luck to him. It was just never going to work out for him here for some reason and I wish him all the best.
As for JJ, I'm not sure yet, and I have a slight doubt that we have the No1 & No2 roles the wrong way around. But we are about to find out and JJ deserves his chance. A Notts Forest style upturn in form is maybe too much to expect but would be amazing please JJ!1 -
I reckon he'll stick Henderson in goal and bring Pearce into the starting 11 and as canters said, probably play a diamond midfield1

Back to basics - solid - Lee, CBT and Davidson to come off bench as game opens upClare has played there before and although it might not be his preferred position, I think he can do no worse than Gunter or Matthews.
Also, and I’m only saying this because I didn’t get to see him play that much before he got bombed out, but can Dobson come back and offer something perhaps? One player I would like to see start is Washington. He was one of the only players from last season that I was happy was still here this season. He works hard, and has spent most of his life as a forward, not a wide player, so why can’t we go two up top with him and Stockley/Davison?0 -

Lets just see how Jacko does in the next couple of games starting Saturday, but I hope it goes well because it would be great if he proved any doubters wrong and took on the job full time, club legend
I'm confident that we will soon highlight how bad his management is by slowly lifting ourselves up the league to at least a comfort zone finish.

But it was more than that. the results were dreadful. The players unfit.
We're sat in a relegation position, 4 points from 'safety'. It was clearly not working.
Further, nothing looked like it was going to turn around soon.
Sandgaard flew in from the States to get this mess sorted out.
And at last, he's taken action.

He’s a nice bloke, perhaps too nice.Sometimes players need a few f@cks fired into them.1 -
The most important appointment TS could make is Peter Varney as Chairman. Then he wouldn’t need to sit in the boardroom with his bloody wife to make a decision about the future of the club. At this stage, dreadful club management from TS. Appointing JJ when we’re in relegation trouble is a coin toss, ridiculous.9
