BACK-TO-BACK Wins!4

Let's wait until JJ has to deal with adversity, injury crises, other managers working out our tactics, etc. That's when you can judge a manager, anything before that can just be the 'bounce'.
He's the messiah.
Subtle difference.

Just out of interest, what were the studio comments like from curbs and all?, did they elude to what they think the differences are in any detail. I’m guessing the mood was considerably better!!🤣1

At the end of the 2018/19 when he would get forward a lot - something Jacko cleared remembered - yet so far we haven't been caught out on our left defensively, with Purrington stranded up field.
Replace Purrington, Gilbey and Dobson with Soaure, Morgan and Watson then it’s not going to be so effective.
I’d be looking to bring in more fit, energetic and mobile players in January if we can move a few on. Got to avoid bringing in more Watson’s, Arter’s and Gunter’s, too many in a team especially in more attacking roles limits us so much.
The one player I really don’t see a role for in the current team is Kirk. Doubt he can play in the Purrington role so unless he can be adapted to play deeper and more centrally like Lee has been then I don’t see where he can get back into the team.2 -

They alluded to Ipswich being with us a few games ago and putting a run together and getting to mid table and suggesting we can do that in the next few games and then it all looks different. I was watching the cricket at the time so probably missed a lot.1 -
That photo of Euelly & @Tracey is superb 🥰❤️🤣🤣12

Arter can be a big player for us, he's injured currently and needs to get up to match fitness, but when he does I'd suggest he is the battler you need in the middle of the park. The squad will have to fight for places but we now have strength in depth and JJ has to keep as many happy as possible, bearing in mind we have Big Ryan and JFC to come back along with Lavelle, must be a nice problem to have.
Also a special mention for Clare who played well in his cameo yesterday and if course Blacket Taylor who has shown what he can do this season.
Finally Kirk, he is a good player, but think he moved at the wrong time, with his dad passing, if we can help him setlle and support him during this obviously hard time for him, what a bonus he could be!
Rotherham will be difficult, but I think we can match them, if we play like the last two games!
Haven't felt so positive for ages!6 - Sponsored links:

so far so revolutionary by the players who just couldn't or wouldn't play for Adkins.
Tuesday will be a major test against the Millers, a big strong outfit which plays good football while taking no prisoners
A return to the valley for Richard Wood and Michael Smith, one giant at the back, the other at the front, two more players we let go too early without giving them a real chance to shine0 -
I wouldn't be too quick to write Kirk off just yet. Yeah, he's been disappointing, but so was everyone's else until 2 games ago! I can't see him as a wingback, but surely there will be times when a player with his pace and skill can change a game and offer something different. We can't just go "this is our formation, let's stick to it", there will be times we have to change it. Maybe he could play more centrally off the big man? I dunno, but pretty sure Jackson and Euell are aware of what the lad can do.10

The thing is, the attitude has almost certainly changed in that the players will be looking forward to the Rotherham game, rather than dreading it. The same is probably true for us fans too.0

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
Also hope we get some better extended highlights.

At this point of the season, we shouldn't look at the table and focus on each game as it comes. Can we beat Rotherham? Yes we can and then we are on a bona fide run. How many games will this run be? We shall see but I always look at the performances. You win tight game after tight game and you can't sustain a run. You play with dominance and control and you will.
Saturday was probably as dominant you get when it comes to Charlton. That is unusual in itself and something real for us to cling to.1 -
Thanks @bolloxbolder

Tuesday's game is massive. If we want to catch the top 6, we have to play them and beat them - we won Saturday but the gap is still 12 points so this is a big opportunity, as are the next 2 home games after - win them and its game on - lose them and its season over - i think we can, and will, win them1
