  • I hope that the compensation that he will have to pay will leave a big hole in Tommy's drive towards break-even.
Not when he sells leaburn in January it won't.

Ffs we are a basket case of a club... Whose next to join this mob.
  • Please not his son as firstly the caretaker manager, win his 1st game then gets the job full time

  • This is what someone I know close to Beale mentioned to me over the summer. The state of the club is only going to have deteriorated even more so since then.

Don’t get me wrong, football is a brutal sport and someone will take the opportunity, but I doubt they will be one of the best possibly people to take this club forwards.

We have a really shit squad of players thanks to Banjo Bill.
I don't agree that a new manager will suddenly get them performing better.
Maybe a new manager bounce for a game or two but that's about it.

    Team is shit
    Sack Bowyer

    Team is shit
    Sack Adkins

    Team is shit
    Sack JJ

    Team is shit
    Sack Garner.

Just sell the club and fuck off you useless c***.
Stop siting on the fence. Tell us what you really think!!

Maybe we’ll go back in for managers with Champions League experience again 😂

Will leave his son open to pelters from the fans if we want someone to vent at
  • I wasn't convinced Garner was the right man for the job, but is the job right for any man at the moment? I don't think it is currently.

What a mess. I still believe Sandgaard actually gives a shit, which probably makes him better than the Spivs, ESI(s), and Roland, but he seems woefully out his depth and too pig headed to realise/admit it. I don't know where we go from here.

Never mind bringing in Big Sam, we'd struggle to tempt Fireman Sam.

Lee Bowyer maybe? - Sandgaard always said he would happily work with him again after he left for Birmingham

However given the way Bowyer left, still makes me think he jumped into a lifeboat and started rowing to New York the moment he got reports of potential Icebergs in the Atlantic Ocean

TS do the right thing and do one! Bloke is a disgrace
  • Maybe it’s a cunning plan to get a striker so they can be player manager and only pay one wage.

As long as that striker isn’t JFH

    Could be funny

Swear he left on bad terms with the owner. Think he’d rather be in France by the lake!

Merry Christmas, everyone … Things can only get better 🤔🙄😬😢
  • After last week's celebrations of Back To The Valley the likes of Roger Alwen must be shaking their heads and wondering what the firkin is happening to our great (but mediocre) club.

    Sad days indeed.

  • I have been underwhelmed by Garner, but this decision at this time seems bonkers. However, I do believe that Garner has been pushing for this by some of his recent comments, so think it's more a case of him pissing off Sandgaard rather than it being purely down to results. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Martin Sandgaard is involved in this somehow. He is a big problem.

So Sandgaard was at the game Friday. Flew back to the States and then sacked Garner. Coward.

    @Airman Brown on Twitter
Pretty much what he did to Jacko too.

To be fair to Sandgaard, I'd completely detached myself from Charlton (apart from the women's team) for the past few months and he has technically got me interested again here, so mission accomplished?
Except he hasn't really. If anything I'm even less interested at this point. I quite liked Garner and he's been given a broad, complicated job and nowhere near the tools needed to do it. Even the most hopeful fans could tell we needed another left back, another centre back and a striker to even compete at first team level and the players never came. Garner probably could have done better getting a tune out of Stockley and Lavelle, who have been all-time bad, and we've been unlucky with injuries (again!) but asking him to get promotion without enough players is just silly.
He can hire whoever he wants now. It's not so much that Charlton are bad or I don't agree with the decision, the whole reason I switched off is I just want to support a football team for a bit without everything constantly coming back to the ownership. I'm so tired of it, every good or bad thing being through the lens of the person who owns the club. It's been like this for ten years now, I can't really spend my time worrying about what some rich or penniless blokes with their names on the deed do anymore. They can keep it. My only real hope is that he doesn't offer the men's job to Karen Hills and cock the other team up. Beyond that, appoint Martin, appoint Karel Fraeye, appoint Pol Pot; see if I give a shit.

Squad has been getting worse with each manager and TS still expects better results.

Garner with a worse squad than last year is expected to fight for play-offs? Joke.
