If true that Taylor, Beale and warburton all turned us down in the summer, who would want to join us now?1

A manager who agrees to the job without a realistic budget, something Sandgaard looks very unlikely to provide, will be a waste of time. Just a foot note in the story of our demise. Logic would say it should go to Pearce on a caretake basis. So that won't happen.0

In principle I liked what Garner was trying to do, but wondered how it could work at a club that couldn't match the typical budgets for the league we're in. trying to change the playing style without the budget to do a complete rebuild seemed a bit ambitious, shall we say. Having said which, I don't think he was any better or worse than his predecessors. A string of decent blokes who knew what they were doing but couldn't work miracles.Garrymanilow said:appoint Karel Fraeye1

Absolutely disgraceful decision.
Was hired to do a specific job and play a certain way and then not given the tools to do it.
He was hit cripplingly hard with injuries and miracles were expected of him in no time at all.
Any support left for Sandgaard untfortunately ends here.
How Garner was expected to play a high pressing style with a slow lump upfront is beyond me. He has been a breath of fresh air and I firmly believed that given the right resources in January he would have completely been able to turn our fortunes around. Clearly, Sandgaard has no intentions of giving anyone the right resources though and anyone worth their salt should avoid Charlton like the plague.
I would give some good suggestions, but they won't come and right now, I don't really care.11 -

Could it be because Garner introduced Jake Forster Caskey to first team league football of late, and that has cost Sandgaard money and he is pissed off?
I heard a couple of months ago now that Garner had, how do I put it, overridden a football decision of another member of staff that wasn't well received. I didn't pay much attention at the time, but it wouldn't surprise me to learn the camp generally is far from harmonious.0 -
Looking at recent sackings, Leam Richardson and Steve Morison are both available, and realistic prospects?

Somehow with Sandgaard, I feel he will have a plan. Not necessarily a good one but he will think he has a better replacement. Would expect someone with a background in the club0

It’s boring playing the ball around in our own half until we make a mistake and give the opposition a goal.

Out all day & came straight on here to see whether last night's rumour was true....and was as I expected.
It was clear that Ben wanted to distance himself from the threadbare squad he was allowed to muster & I can't believe anyone here could blame him.
Decent guy, honest & doing his utmost within the limitations but as soon as he knew deep down that there'd be no money to strengthen the squad in January, he knew he'd be better off out of it. Why go down (ooerr) with a sinking ship ?
What the feck must the players be feeling at this moment in time...as if the Septic cares one jot. He probably doesn't even know half their names.
Knee jerk reaction is I want to lose my voice cheering on our lads AND from shouting Sandgaard Out from the 1st to last minute of every game, whether he's there or not.
I thought RD's stewardship could well signal the end of our club...now I realise that I was looking east instead of west.
I'm not fond of using the word "hate" but will make an exception now. Finding it difficult to put my feelings into words but too many iffy ones to post here anyway. I'm trying hard to remain ladylike ....
BG, the players, coaches, SMT, general staff and last but not least, the faithful. ALL have been promised champagne, but been given watered down, out of date prune juice.
Time now for the Liar banner to makes its re entrance, methinks.
The question is, where do we go from here ? Should we do our best to play our part in forcing Pants on Fire out ? Is there a potentially serious buyer in the wings ? Who will be prepared to accept the poisoned chalice until such time as our club changes hands ?
I'm fervently hoping that Airman/others who clearly know more than most of us, can address such questions or at least, share their feelings at this time.
But not to forget the latest victim of this Machiavellian despot.
I wish you well, Ben, in whatever direction you now head. I don't blame you for where we find ourselves tonight - you were swimming against the current from Day 1, without the tools you were promised.
There is only ONE tool at this football club & it was never you.
