On the coach starting a loooong schlepp back. Absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. The ref gave us nothing yet we didn’t get a yellow card, they got a few. Credit to Holden for getting them going in the second half. Their fans started leaving as early as 75 mins. Eh? For those who watched the stream did we come across as loud, sustained and loyal as it sounded in the ground? I suppose that gaff is called the theatre of dreams because their fans seemed asleep. Nobody outside us will give us much credit but we were represented us well on and off the pitch.

One of the proudest thing for me was that it was two of our youngsters AMB and Lucas Ness that really stood out for me. (They were all superb) Now go and smash Barnsley!

we stood up and went toe to toe with one of the biggest clubs in the world even with rested players every single one of them players played for the shirt our fans and our club
we couldnt of done anymore and deserved better than that scoreline second half actually outplayed them mainly and could and maybe should have got a goal
but o well is what it is bring on the rest of the season but i know this is day/night i will never forget and live with me a long time well done boys!!!!
Nothing to say but really proud. We gave them a good game, they had to bring a couple of big time players off the bench to finish us off. Our fans were great, 9,000 and I saw no problems. CAFC.
Good performance & played better that I had hoped. 3-0 was unjustified but Man U were obviously the better team.......but then they had Rashford & Erikson to bring on and we had Stockley & Henry.
Outstanding moment for me was Ness' tackle late in the game. He was 3rd favourite in a 2 horse race but he slid in & cleared it superbly.
Back to the bread & butter on Saturday. Lets just hope we can bring in 2 or 3 players in by then because we desperately need a left back (so Sess can go to RB) and something more up front.
Hard to play against 12 men too, shows the aura of ManUre at Old Trafford still rattles the refs, he gave us absolutely nothing all game, and even seemed reluctant to give the most blatant of fouls.
Special shout out to their plastic fans who all fucked off at 85 mins and missed one of the most in form players in the Premier League bag a brace.
In with a chance of an equaliser up to the 90th min against elite opposition, says it all about our gameplay and the application of the boys. Outstanding.
The result seems less important than the performance and they all put in a shift. The quality was not a gulf for 90 minutes until Rashford comes on. He's scored 8 home games in a row. 7 games in a row. Might as well let him walk one in he's that good.
Our fans showed what our club is about. Heart and soul. If you're watching TS or any prospective new owner, just remember, these fans are like 9000 Liam Neeson's, so if you have any thoughts of doing anything that might hurt the club, think again. These folk have many special sets of skills, so treat our club with respect, OR ELSE.

i know most on here seem proud of the players but those two goals at the end really ruined it.
It was a cup game. You press on and risk conceding a couple in injury time which is what happened.
Whoever expected us to be in the tie through to 90 mins? I didn't so it was 90 minutes worth of feeling proud and that was just from watching the stream.
Safe journey back all. Barnsley on Saturday equally important now.
Really impressed with how well we dug in. Thought out front three largely struggled against a top level back four but the defence and midfield did a great job. Dobson, Ness and Sessegnon the standout performers for me.
Ref also had a shocker but I suppose he made up for it by ignoring the blatant red card that Maynard-Brewer should have got.
Overall I really don’t think you can hope for much more out of a game like this. Hopefully everyone who was able to go had a top night and hopefully we can all remember our support tonight and the gutsy performance when things are bleak.

So disillusioned with Charlton in recent years but that really brought back some pride. Genuinely thought Stockley was going to nick a header towards the end or something. The 2 extra goals were gutting but when you expect to get hit for 6 anyway..
Incredible 2nd half display to dig in, and to see World Cup internationals getting done here and there was superb.

Agree it was great, but Fraser and Morgan had free kick opps in very good positions, Morgan's was pretty close to the post. Also Fraser should have hit the target after he set himself up for a shot just after half time.

Alongside owner Thomas Sandgaard among the Charlton delegation in the directors box at Old Trafford were former Sunderland executive Charlie Methven and Simon Lenagan, son of Wigan Warriors owner Ian.
Both were listed as 'club guest' and both have been to recent Charlton matches, fuelling suggestions they are part of the secretive group that has apparently been granted a period of exclusivity around the ownership, even though Dane Sandgaard says he is going nowhere.
It is the kind of situation Charlton fans thought they had seen the back of when they fought off one potential owner they did not want in 2020, and why they feel an Independent Regulator for the game as a whole is needed as a matter of urgency.
Not that they were thinking too much about that in the opening minute of the second-half when Corey Blackett-Taylor lined up Charlton's best opportunity to equalise, only to fire over from the edge of the area.
Fraser had their only other chance and despite the late setbacks, there was passion and admiration in the ovation the supporters offered Holden and his players at the end.
Now they return to more mundane fare, wanting to know who is running their club.
