Ain’t no doubt about it, we’re deep in the 💩. We’re not down yet but the season has to restart next weekend. Next Saturday is must win0

We're all down the bottom because we cant win games.
24. Carlisle: 0 Points
23. Fleetwood: 4 Points
22. Cheltenham: 3 Points
21. Reading: 8 Points
20. Port Vale: 4 Points
19. Charlton: 1 Point
18. Burton: 5 Points.
They don't need to be winning machines, just better than us.
Currently all of them, apart from Carlisle, are getting more points than us.
Port Vale and others have games in hand too so Port Vale could match our results and go above us.1 -
Going down like a cheap doxy in Southwark!

I've seen worse performances by us, overall could argue a point would've been fair. Not sure this wingback formation works for us, May needs to be in the box for one.0
-
It's time to take a deep breath and consider that with a new Manager and 16 games to go it's in our own hands.
If we go down then we deserve too...simple.
But for now we need to forget what other teams are doing and just concentrate on us.
Taylor and Camera might make a difference coming bsck, gawd knows they couldn't make it worse than it is although it's not an impossibility.
Hopefully Nathan Jones can change the formation as 352 is clearly not working.
I am a little surprised if this fella takes us on but perhaps he needs to rebuild himself after the car crash ping pong table calamities at Southampton.
Let's expect the worse but hope for the best.
However, if there's any blame being slung for this season of f*ck ups then the Owners should put their hands up and admit it was their fault entirely.
They believed people's bullshit and let them loose on bringing in cheap poor unfit players but even worse they bring n a Manager that every Charlton fan knew was rubbish and yet they let it continue. He should have gone after the Burton home game but no... they let him carry on for another 7 bloody games and one sodding point!
Still, on the bright side I'd imagine a lot of fans will complete their 92 grounds if we how down...

First half we were easily the better side with a theme developing of us having nothing but another defensive howler and a deficit to show for it.
Second half they old manned us to be honest and the referee bought everything they were selling and we ran out of ideas. They played with a very flat back 5 and we couldn't get past them wide and were outnumbered in the middle. I was impressed with Collins their 9 but thought they will go home feeling lucky they got 3 points from that Derby.
Heard a story about Pearce playing himself in training and was astonished that the centre halves dont talk to one another, how it took him playing to discover that I don't know as its plain as day to me they aren't communicating but whatever. That has to be fixed.
We need 3 points Saturday now7 -
If the 2 players we’ve just signed to play wing back are no good and if chucks doesn’t come back and stay fit, I think we are in serious danger of going down - Coventry is the only signing Scott has made to date that is any good - Scott has been an absolute disaster16

I’m a blowin.
It is what it is 🤷♀️0 -
16 games to go, if Jones manages a 40% win rate that’s 6 wins. Is that enough to avoid the drop?0
-
Derby fan on CLive said they never play well, dominate, etc. It's why Paul Warne is strangely unpopular despite them being near the top. They just always manage to nick goals and win games.1
-
I was slightly disappointed with Coventry today to be honest. Not as defensively tenacious as Dobson, but with the ball got into good positions but often misplaced his pass.
Hopefully it's rustiness and a lack of understanding with his teammates, which wouldn't be surprising considering the revolving door of team selection.7 -
I remember Terry Taylor being shit, from his limited performances for us. Worrying if we're expecting him to come back and galvanise the side
9 -
We are such a push over, so weak at the back, pedestrian in midfield and lacking any hold up play upfront.
Soon as we give the usual pathetic goal away any little confidence we had to start just drains away.
Derby imho aren’t a good side but they sure know how to cheat.
Good luck to whoever takes over the poison chalice.
Finally just a note on our new signings, buy and large they are no better than what we had.5 -

Imperative we stay up
Each transfer window must get more difficult with our reputation as career killers.
56 years ago today Peter Reeves got married.
In the morning and playing in the afternoon.
He was 18 years old and was marking Rodney Marsh that day.
.Some of Reeves team mates were hardly any older Bob Curtis 18, Dennis Booth 18,Paul Went 18 . John Stenson 19 and Bob Willis 20.
for the last 30muutes we played with 10 men and had been without our goalkeeper for most of the second half .We drew 3-3 , QPR went up and Peter Reeves, Bob Curtis and Paul Went would go on to play over 820 games between them for Charlton.
Just trying to cheer everyone and myself up.
Sorry.Remeber it well.What wonderful players they were.Thanks for the memory LC.2 -

We’ve had plenty of bad seasons for different reasons. I can’t remember another one, where there have been so many individual mistakes to cost us at least a goal per game.7

Sorry.
Don't be sorry:
Was that the game Rodney Marsh scored a hat trick and a curtsy to the Covered end ?
"Rodney is a fairy" a different age with no social media and full on insults.

as I saw it the only problem with the team today was we seemed to be playing with 10 men plus Ladapo who couldn’t control the ball or do anything with it if he touched it. I was leaning towards the camp that wanted to keep the temporary manager but given he kept Ladapo on for the whole game I think it might be better if the new manager brings his own people in.0

It was as expected 8 defensive minded players whacking it hopelessly to two forwards with little idea. If Fleming thinks jones see stuff he likes in today display let’s keep looking g because it was woeful. That said second place derby didn’t look overly impressive6

Thought he showed some bright moments. Pace and telescopic legs.3 -
Our survival could well rest on Aneke getting fit and staying fit.7
