Basically everyone let go, big summer of recruitment ahead.9

Perfect list. Like Tyreece so glad he stays. Dobbo was always gone. Small we knew about. Didn't want to keep any of the others.
Hopefully we can move on 5+ or so of the ones still in contract (Fraser, Isted, Edun, Aneke, McGrandles, Henry all filling spaces and not likely to contribute next season much I suspect).28 -
Glad they've had a big sweep out of players (obviously bar Dobson which is gutting), and haven't hung onto a couple in the hope they can 'do a job'.
Now to get the signings right.12 -
Was hoping we would offer Wickham a contract but happy with letting Hector and Thomas go6
-
Still hoping for more like
Ness campbell and asiimwe out on loan
Sell Edun, Mcgrandles, Fraser, Henry and one of isted or AMB maybe Jones aswell as not sure the manager is a fanALOT of work to be done !!18 -
Can't argue with any of that list, glad to see the back of Thomas and Hector.16
-
Huge clear out, can’t believe Fraser and Mcgrandles are staying though assume it is just to much to release them and they will hold out for a fee of some sort.
Hopefully Small signs another longer term contract he was a real standout when he came in for me.3 -
Tyreece staying is a predictable outcome under Nathan Jones. I think his deployment of Tyreece has indicated an itching desire to play him when appropriate as he is a player who unlocks defences on a good day.
The showing of Lua Lua feeds into this thesis, Jones wanted a tricky wide player, tried out old friend Lua Lua and learned from that Tyreece is a better option, one that can probably only be bettered by a Rak Saki style loan.16 -
It's a bit more difficult to release players under contract. Should be ok to ship them in the summer, be it for a transfer fee or a loan where another club pays a chunk of their wagesWillmoreTheRed said:Huge clear out, can’t believe Fraser and Mcgrandles are staying though assume it is just to much to release them and they will hold out for a fee of some sort.

Reads like no way back for Dobson.5

Best wishes to Richard Chin and Terell Thomas.
I don’t see much from Dizzy so far, so a credible defence needs signing once Terell and Hector leave, to supplement REG, Jones and a probably emerging Zach.
We need a real proper credible all rounder goalkeeper who is moody at the back, and obsessed with keeping a clean sheet.6 -
I'm playing devils advocate here. I feel like it's a bit of reverse psychology at play.LargeAddick said:Reads like no way back for Dobson.
"Okay George we offered all we could and for now we wish you all the best if you're not willing to make a U-turn for the deal you have been offered".

Hopefully quite a few under contact that we'll manage to move on as well.
Tayo Edun
Scott Fraser
Aaron Henry
Harry Isted OR AMB (keep one as backup)
Conor McGrandles
Lucas Ness (at least out on loan)
Terry Taylor? (impossible to judge, worth a look in pre season)
Tennai Watson? (Could Ramsay be backup and a new first choice RWB been brought in)

Absolutely, I can see it being a nice statement so everyone parts on good terms - if he's available in the future and we're still in L1 etc, maybe he comes back.LargeAddick said:Reads like no way back for Dobson.
But he's definitely off.1 -
Dobson (who was obviously gone) and Hector the only two of the departing I would have kept. The dislike for Hector is one that will always baffle me as he often looked very good. To each their own I suppose.
The Wickham and Lualua experiments were just that, experiments. LuaLua never started and never really impressed in his cameos. He always seemed an awkward fit apart from having worked with Jones before. Wickham impressed in flashes, and if he didn't have such an awful injury record, or if we didn't have Chuks, he might have been offered a contract. As it is, you can't have him and Chuks on the books at the same time. Both are good enough to play at a higher level, and both are held back by their fitness issues.
TC staying is a good move. He had a down year but I think there is a lot more to come from him. Small was probably the second best signing made last season after May. Offering him a new long term deal is incredibly sensible. He's the same age as Anderson and Asiimwe, and younger than Kanu and TC.
The biggest problem is that there are a few players under contract who have question marks over them, most of whom have joined in the last year.16 -
Feels like a very big clearout isn't finished there.
Think we don't see Fraser,Edun, Mcgrandles,AMB ,Henry again either. Would definitely be looking at getting Ness,Asiimwe,Casey,Mbick and possibly Mitchell loans.6 -
Forgot Aaron Henry existed.1
-
Happy with the that. In the past I could have seen a celebratory tweet stating a "1 year extension" of TT or Hector but am glad we have moved on.
It's also time we move on from the Dobson situation. The only positive that I can think of is that we have a chance of signing a new Club/Team captain.0 -
Agree with all those released.
A promotion chasing squad needs much better than the likes of Thomas and Hector.
I expect a couple more will be moved on once their agents have sorted out a new club.
Now let's bring in much better for next season.6 -

Happy with that list, no real shocks.
Need to get rid of a fair few under contract though, which could be tricky.1 -
Shows how shit our season has been, third player of the year released11
-
Right decisions in my mind.
Hector has so many good qualities, but ultimately he was part of a defensive unit that was rubbish.0 -
Would've liked to have kept Wickham but totally get why it probably isn't sensible.3

Get the feeling Jones might try and 'release' quite a few of those still under contract as well (by selling them any way we can). If he can offload
Hector
so CALLOUSLY then there's a swathe of them who played significantly worse that he won't want around either 10 -
Yeah happy with that.
Jones to be fair to him gave the likes of Hector and Thomas every chance to earn a new deal
Relieved that Campbell has signed a new deal, only CBT got more assists than him last season, even with his nose dive in confidence (Thank you Appleton), so its proof that Tyreece still has the potential, and would be a waste and stupid to have released him.
Wonder if we'll see another released list soon from the U21s? - Unless the likes of Jeremy Santos and Euan Williams are still under contract - No offence to either of them for example, but if they've not broken through yet, they surely never will?1 -

Current Squad
Goalkeepers:
Ashley Maynard-Brewer
Harry Isted
Right Backs:
Kayne Ramsay
Nathan Asiimwe
Tennai Watson
Centre Backs:
Lloyd Jones
Lucas Ness
Macaulay Gillesphey
Rarmani Edmonds-Green
Zack Mitchell
Left Backs:
Tayo Edun
Thierry Small
Central Midfielders:
Aaron Henry
Conor Coventry
Conor McGrandles
Karoy Anderson
Scott Fraser
Terry Taylor
Wingers:
Tyreece Campbell
Strikers:
Alfie May
Chuks Aneke
Daniel Kanu
Miles Leaburn
23 players, so only 3 less than Jones' magic 26 as it stands, and he definitely wants 3 keepers.
Of the above, i expect 6 or 7 of them to be moved out minimum, either on loan or being sold, especially in central midfield and centre backs, and I expect 10 or 11 signings to then cover that and fill any gaps.16
