Suppose they've got to find some way to scramble the money together for Edwards and Mitchell, bet those two were real pocket burners7

Just did a bottle of vodka for breakfast and feel like I'm on a level to translate Ronnie's post, He meant in order to get in some decent players we have to sell our best ones.5

Charlton need Vili's and no more knobs.0

Not a rumour but a really good interview with NJ on the current state of recruitment. Sounds like there's a lot of offers still out there , interesting that attacking options and wanting " the best group of strikers in the league" was mentioned. Also a big emphasis on keeping clean sheets.

If I thought we were to play a league match against another club who had got rid of the three best players the fans voted for the previous season, I would feel both incredulous and hopeful.
The only answer is promotion on the back of losing those guys, anything else is failure no matter what excuses or weasel words the regime comes out with.4 -

So if it's 4-5 more and we're going as it stands with May not going. GK,CB,CDM,CAM, Striker is the general consensus? I know in that video I linked earlier NJ called Berry an attacking midfielder that can add goals from midfield but I'm still expecting maybe not a " marquee" signing but definitely a signing for a significant fee to play that No10 role.
Would guess anything beyond the 5 would hinge on departures and clearing out anyone that's not wanted. Maybe a couple of loans later in the window once PL/Champ sides sort their squads out just to bolster things (I know it's been spoken about wanting a smaller squad and we've got players like REG and Edwards that offer versatility, but I've got a few niggling doubts about injuries and reliance on academy players )3 -

very positive. I'd be even more so if Alfie is still here come Sept.

This is how i see it currently, with both GK and ST soon to be filled. Obviously in midfield there are players that can play in multiple roles, i.e Berry could play CAM, Taylor could play CM etc.GK: NEW, MannionRWB: Ramsay, WatsonCB: REG, Z.MitchellCB: A.Mitchell, JonesCB: NEW, GillespheyLWB: Small, EdwardsCDM: Coventry, NEW, TaylorCM: Berry, AndersonCAM: NEW, CampbellST: NEW, Leaburn, ChuksST: May, Kanu7

The above would be in line with NJ's 5 more (taking us to 9 signings).
I know a few have mentioned Edwards playing LCB, from NJ comments I think that is unlikely - him and Small will rotate with both getting a lot of gametime - Wingbacks often get tired very quickly in games due to the nature of the role up and down all game so having two very good LWBs is a good idea.9 -

If i was him I would go to Newcastle, at his age for one last pay day. You are a long time retired as a footballer.30

Yeah given his comments about his family having stayed around Norwich, I can't see being effectively third choice at Newcastle being that attractive beyond the finances.
Does suggest to me our keeper signing probably isn't him though.0 -

If Ruddy is (probably) out I guess the top choice of keeper target is now between Walton or Davies. I'd guess the latter to be a bit "easier" a deal (relatively speaking) so hopefully we get some movement - GK is one area that really needs improvement.0
