I’ve been supporting since 1905 and have watched every match including the Wembley finals of 1946 and 47. But my favourite match was the home win 7-6 against Huddersfield. There have been plenty of highs and lows since but this season has really been disappointing to say the least. Nevertheless we must all keep chipper and look forward to the next match. As the saying goes…the sun might shine tomorrow…whether thats NJ resigning or being given the tin tack!

    Roland out forever!

Seven players that appeared tonight were brought in or introduced by Nathan Jones, only Miles Leaburn, Tyreece Campbell, Daniel Kanu and Ashley Maynard Brewer, were here before Andy Scott.

The worst Charlton team of my life, no bones about it
Would be interested to know how long you have been supporting for. I’ve been supporting for just over 20 years so the last of the Prem years. I feel like this is the worst team I’ve ever seen for us. I don’t know how but this seems worse than last year.
My first game was '69, since then even when we were shit we tried, we attacked now its nothing, the last 5 minutes tonight were disgraceful, 2/3/4 freekicks on the edge of the area from which they should have scored.  This is the worst team I have seen in all that time.

    Bit too much information there
    Kenneth ?
  • are we out yet ?
  • "The squad I inherited " comment is weird.

I would say he's losing the plot, but I don't think he's ever had the plot!!!
  • are we out yet ?

In my humble opinion it's probably not the worst team/squad but it certainly is the worst tactics and the more I think about it, the reason he got rid of Alfie May is because Alfie May would not buy into his tactics and probably would be verbal about it.
  • We sat within ear shot of our Mr Jones, oh dear, he really does not impress, we found his shouting both confuse and ambiguous. Are this lot actually playing for him? Seemed unlikely, watching the captains arm band travel between players being subbed says lots. He’s lost that team, no recognizable game plan, they are not playing for him!

We've already got to his bizarre post match interview stage, and he's been here under a year. Get rid of him and give someone some budget in January to sort all the mistakes Jones has made.
  • I thought Potts played well. As for the others, well, Dixon, Leaburn, Taylor unusually, RMG especially were shite. We are in trouble.
  • I meant REG

Potts did look an upgrade on Gillesphey and noticeable we conceded after the switch was made. Would like to see him in a 3 with Mitchell & Jones
  • Agree with that

  • Tonight is an all time low for me, how much more can we take before the protests start, must be very near.

But what good would protests be? We spent years protesting to get Roland out, in very inventive and differrent ways, yet he's still 'here'. What good would protests do now?
At least shout your feelings out as one, let the SMT and Owners be aware of how the fans feel. Nathan should already know how we feel about him.
  • It's probably papering over the cracks though. We are so limited going forward.

You would look good in this back line Fen, it's the complete lack of attacking nous that's the problem. Nathan Jones post match interview totally swerves how many chances we created or didn't create.
  • I hope tonight has put a halt to the fans who have put forward Dixon as our saviour. He is nowhere near ready for first team football, even a team as bad as ours

He's absolutely barmy at the best of times, but he can absolutely fuck off if he's now throwing players under the bus, most of them tonight are his signings!

How many times can he say we're so far off where we need to be, for him to realise it's because of him? If the players aren't getting it and haven't got it for 5 months now, maybe Jones needs to look at why they can't grasp it, or change what he's trying to get them to do!

Saturday he needs a win, and a convincing one at that, anything less and we need to decide very quickly if we stick or twist
  • Yep. No pace shown at all, his best work tonight was defensive

How are people using fitness as an excuse for Leaburn’s performances. He’s been back for over 2 months now, playing 800 minutes in 13 games.
  • Yet another reality check - we lose to Orient at home

    HMS Sinking…..
  • He was awful again tonight. He wins nothing in the air.

He's been appalling, apart from in the cups against lower league players. Stick him in a match against adults in our league and he's a fish out of water. A very big, cumbersome fish that looks completely unbothered by what's happening around him on the pitch
