  • Great news!

Thanks for the heads up, Callum.
  • great news re NorthEast. Went Thursday, thoroughly enjoyable day, decent crowd. We didn't bowl badly really. Just they are a class away. Good experience for our young players.
  • on another happy note the other t20 scores weren't bad from our point of view really. Can we qualify? Hopefully the attendances for Canterbury and Tunbridge wells in next couple of weeks will also boost us a bit
  • 280 all out.

Aus 63-0, lead by 290 runs.
  • 91-1

    Rogers c sub b Riley 45
  • Australia have shuffled around their batting order, giving an opportunity to those who "missed out" on runs in the first innings. Clarke opening and Watson is in at 3.

    510 to go .......
  • Harris has been expensive, his place in the team might be at risk, with the depth they have in their bowling line-up

Well played DBD. 18 of one Ahmed over, then 17 of his next has put paid to any chances he had of playing instead of Lyon...

Ah, out for 127, after scoring 3 boundaries in one Harris over
  • 294 all out.

    Australia win by 255 runs.
  • Kent started their CC match against Leicester this morning and having won the toss we have inserted them. Leicester are currently off to a bit of a flyer at 68-1 off 14. Coles with the wicket.

However, the question I have to ask is this. When was the last time we went into a game without a front line spinner?

No Treders, Riley or even Cowdrey today and only Denly who can bowl spin in the side - a career record of 27 first class wickets rather says it all.

  • 87-1 to 94-4. But then this is Leicestershire.

    Coles 3-43 Haggett 1-9
  • 109-4 at lunch.
  • Thanks for the updates, AA
  • 140-6 now.
Surprised Hunn didn't get a game. Got the top 5 Aussies out in the first innings. Must wonder what he has to get in
  • Thanks for the updates, AA

    Even better news Fanny!

    140-7

Stevens (2) and Haggett (1) to add to the previous ones to fall.

"They" knew re the wicket. And the even better news is that it ain't our wicket ;-)
  • 148-8

Haggett does just have the one wicket and not two as misreported by me previously. But Coles now has 5-51
  • 156-9

    Coles 6-52

  • 159 all out

Haggett does now get his second wicket.

Now all we have to do is post 400 and we should win the match!
  • Matt Coles has now taken 48 wickets at less than 22 and is the second highest wicket taker in Division 2.

Clearly trying to prove that he has mended his ways ;-)
  • Players took tea immediately following the end of the Leics innings but it has been raining since.
  • Play due to re-start at 4.45
  • Both openers go with the score on 28!
  • Both openers go with the score on 28!

    Here we go again ......

  • Match delayed by bad light.

    44-2 and currently 115 behind.
  • 60-4. Both Key and Northeast gone.

Need exactly a hundred for a lead. Perhaps my prediction of 400 might have been a bit unrealistic.
  • This one has "failure to knock off under 200 in the second innings" stamped all over it. There's more chance of Lewis Hamilton failing to win the F1 title...

    Concentrating on the T20.

At least, in theory, there is a bit of depth to the batting with Haggett down at number 10.
