  • After not a single LBW in the Leics first innings, it appears that the umpires have well and truly pulled their fingers out.

Having given four of the top five out LBW in our first innings they have now sent back three of the Leics top four in the same way.
  • 66-4 at tea so Leics have a lead of 15.
  • I'll hold back on that rain dance then...
  • Stevens strikes after tea! 66-5
  • We need to get them out promptly because I'm backing our batsmen to chase down no more than about 35 :-)
  • Stevens strikes after tea! 66-5

And guess what? It was yet another LBW. Don't these players know it's the bat you're meant to use and not the pads?

Either that or it's Mr Magoo and his brother officiating.
  • Sign of the Devil:

    66-6

  • Leics 66/6

Not even Kent can balls this one up.
  • 66-6!

Another for God to confront the devil 666!

Exactly. Sometimes I wonder if the umpires know the rule as well.

"Missing leg? You're having a laugh mate that's was closer to missing off!!!"

Sorry flashbacks from the weekend as I had a plumb lbw shout turned down on the last ball of an 8 over spell, bastard sport :-)

You had to Stewart didn't you! I just hope this doesn't come back and haunt you ;-(
  • But 15-7 sounds much better.

7th wicket to Haggett but 63 runs and 3 wickets (so far) to God against his old county today.
  • After being released over 10 years ago, I bet Leics never expected Stevens to still be playing!
  • 85-7 and 34 ahead

A single run against us in these circumstances is the equivalent of a boundary to any other team having to bat last ;-(
  • 89-7.

Awkward little partnership developing between Raine and Mckay in the context of a low scoring game.

Come on Kent don't let them off the hook!
  • Surely nothing can go wrong now .....

    It's Stewart's fault :-)

You must be Stewart's Fanny - you both have an unnecessary knack of tempting fate!
  • We've only used 3 bowlers. No Thomas so I assume he's injured?

Is it worth giving Ball a go for a couple of overs as a left armer who will come in at a different angle?
  • 97-8 Coles again.
  • So naughty
  • 99-9

    An upside down Devil.
  • Matt Coles needs the last wicket to get his 10fer

    Off for Bad Light.

    110-9
  • 60-4. Both Key and Northeast gone.

Need exactly a hundred for a lead. Perhaps my prediction of 400 might have been a bit unrealistic.

Should I start my rain dance yet ?

Some nasty clouds over Leicester tomorrow by the look of things. Chasing less than 60 and I think we'd like them to blow over. More than that and it would probably do us a favour to chuck it down!
  • Silly me. Just realised Leics are 59 ahead already.

With 1 wicket left, so maybe we'll get 59 for the tie!
