Should I start my rain dance yet ?Addick Addict said:60-4. Both Key and Northeast gone.
Need exactly a hundred for a lead. Perhaps my prediction of 400 might have been a bit unrealistic.

Yes - as long it's an isolated downpour around Grace Road. Don't want any of that stuff down here.Fanny Fanackapan said:

Seb's had a quiet time for Kent in so far as there has only been the one game since the Oval and that was a five run defeat at the hands of Middlesex. Seb came in with us needing eight of two balls, scored two off the first and was bowled going for the maximum off the last.
Saturday was a big day for him though when, at the age of 12, he made his "adult" debut - for Bexley 6s against Wickham Park 2s. WP are top of the League and the difference between the two sides was reflected by us being dismissed for 61 - though we never gave up and at 1-2 and 34-5 I'm sure they weren't feeling certain of gaining the ultimate five wicket ultimate win.
Seb came in at five and ended up second top scorer with 14. He also kept, took a catch and let just the one bye through - and that came from a leg side first ball of the innings!1 -
74-5
Stevens gone now.0 -
Not sure quite what has happened but we appear to be 78-4 now. Possibly misinformation from Cricinfo or, more likely, I need a visit to Specsavers.Addick Addict said:74-5

Harmison out 94/50
-
How does Harmison get in the side?0
-
Could be quite entertaining now with Billings coming in alongside Stevo0
-
He has scored a few runs for the seconds and given that only Northeast has shown any consistency this season he was given his chance. And failed. But there's still a second innings.
106-5
Stevens 36 off 41 to date0 -
Stevens is motoring along now!0

Only because I erroneously gave him out earlier!
60 off 61 in a total of 136-50 -
thanks AA0

Knocks like this can win you the game, unlike Stevens to do that for Kent!Addick Addict said:Addickted2TheReds said:Stevens is motoring along now!

It's his 62nd First Class half century!0

Also this partnership has yielded 47 runs in its lowly 5.5 overs! If we can carry on going at 8s for another 30 odd overs then we will easily surpass your score of 400 Addick Addict!2

141 - 5 at lunch. Don't want to put the mockers on the guy, but where would we have been the last few years without Stevens?1

And so comes a wicket straight after lunch...............but it's Billings and not Stevens.ken_shabby said:141 - 5 at lunch. Don't want to put the mockers on the guy, but where would we have been the last few years without Stevens?
145-6 and still 14 behind.0 -
Swiftly followed by Stevens one run later.Addick Addict said:

Well done Seb - no mean feat playing with the adults aged 12.Addick Addict said:Seb's had a quiet time for Kent in so far as there has only been the one game since the Oval and that was a five run defeat at the hands of Middlesex. Sadly, about as good as we could hope for with this team.0
-
We're capable of scoring 210 in a T20. Had we approached the CC in the same way we might have reached that aforementioned 400 off our 55 overs!ken_shabby said:Sadly, about as good as we could hope for with this team.
