Albie did not follow the runner, not sure what else Oshi could have done (and I am not a fan of him at LB).
I am a fan of Pratley but today he slowed up play and made us to negative (without doing anything wrong).
Apart from the two ref mistakes we never looked like scoring, our forwards are poor at this level but midfielders also don't shoot despite running into the box with it (Williams, Cullen and defender Matthews come to mind).
I thought McGeady had an excellent first half and he can shoot (well relative to all).
I am starting to wonder if we should play with a false no. 9 like Spain!
We will not go down through lack of effort though or through Bowyer. We all know where the blame lies.
I love Bonne for his effort but how many times have we found ourself saying ‘he should have scored’ after a game? Too many for a professional striker in the Championship

Criticism of Bonne is a bit harsh in my opinion.
Ok he should've scored in the first half but he was playing non league last season and he was supposedly bought as one for the future.
He wasn't bought to be leading our attack in his first season at this level.

He needs about 10 chances to score 1 goal. Unfortunately all of our strikers leave a lot to be desired.
Its gutting when the referreing decisions go against. The decisions will even out. Even with a weakened attack without Lyle 'self preservation society' Taylor, Charlton are creating chances. On another day its a point or maybe 3. A team makes it own luck and if Charlton keep on working hard like they are doing, there is still a chance that Charlton can stay up.

We're surely going to need a monumental amount of decisions to go for us in these last three games after this game and the Brentford one
don't know why people are wanting Williams to start, he did nothing constructive today, he ran sideways, he lost the ball about the only good thing he did was win some free kicks which we did not take an advantage. I feel sorry for Bonne he came to Charlton to learn he should not be our main striker he just is not good enough yet.

Charlton only need a couple of key decisions to go to us in a close game and its 3 points. Some games the luck is against. Charlton are pushing up hill with a weakened forward line, but if the goal given offside is given, there is a chance of at least a point in this game. Keeping the faith and strong hearts are needed. If the players continue to work hard then there's a good chance for 4 points in the remaining 3 games & that may be enough to keep us up.

Part of me doesnt even think four points are needed now
Getting less and less surprised if we all go to the final day of the season with every club (Barnsley maybe not so much) mathematically able to go down should a miracle happen etc.
Sorry it wasn’t good enough. Reading basically played at 75% , they never chased balls, gave us more room than side has this season, were laughing and joking. They were so laid back they were horizontal , An fuck me, we still lost........ BUGGER.
Referee was crap, but they are not alone, just watching a tackle by a wigan player that could have killed someone, just a yellow, then a Hull player already on a yellow, totally wipes out a millwall player, just a talking to,something has to be done about this. For our disallowed penalty, the lino was right next to it,and ref 10 yds away, officials are actually getting worse.

This. Bowyer didn't buy Bonne with the expectation that he would be leading our front line. He was a 'project' player, with the club having a punt, that he might develop as a squad player, but if not sell him on. Sadly Bowyer has had his pants pulled down, time and time again at Charlton. Our squad is like wearing a bunch of hand-me-downs when attending Royal Ascot. We are trying to gate crash a party when we don't fit in.
I truly believe they are doing their best, but Reading have a £7m player (that they bought) and we have a lack of investment that is palpable.
If we stay up Bowyer will be a hero. If we go down, just like anyone worth a bean, he will be gone.
Re the Reading penalty incident, I didn't know what Bowyer was talking about at first but it's as clear as day when you watch it back. Morgan doesn't track his man and he has a free run into the box which forces Oshilaja to come across to put in a challenge, but by then he's already the wrong side of him. Albie is culpable I'm afraid. Oshilija too as his challenge wasn't great, but by then there was little else he could do. Even then it was a soft one as it's more a coming together than a deliberate trip or a push.
The "offside" goal is definitely onside. Its tight and you can see why the linesman flagged as by the time the ball comes out again he looks miles off, but it was the wrong call. The sort of thing that goes against you when your luck's out.
The Bonne chance is as clear a chance as you could want or expect at this level. He's three or four yards out with only the keeper in front of him and just HAS to get his effort on target. No excuses. The only thing you could say is that the ball possibly came across at a slightly difficult height and he may have been better off throwing his head at it, but its another golden chance squandered.
JFC is clearly being held back for the "non-penalty" decision. The bloke has wrapped two arms around him at one point. That's deliberate and not even debatabe. JFC does fall down dramatically, which probably counted against him, and if he'd given it then it probably would've fallen into the slightly "soft" category, but certainly no softer that the Reading penalty. The booking just added insult to injury.
Aside from that, Big Chuks had a couple of half chances he could/should have done better with but Reading offered very little (although did they need to?)
Definitely unlucky not to have got at least a point and the lads certainly gave it their all. But that's how it goes, particularly when you just lack that bit of quality where it really counts. League 1 squad, League 1 budget , etc
Team for Wednesday should be the one that started against Brentford & subs made only after 70 mins or if injured.
If players cant play 3 games in a week then there is something very wrong. The Forest team that won the European Cup & went 42 league games unbeaten played over 60 games that season. Only 1 sub allowed in those days & the pitches were heavy & devoid of grass during winter.

Chuks is on more £££ than lyle was??
Morgan subbed at half time again.
Bowyer's decisions are becoming more and more idiotic by the game.
Also Doughty back at LB or Purrington but not Deji.
I feel sorry for Bonne he came to Charlton to learn he should not be our main striker he just is not good enough yet.
Lyle Taylor if we go down you will never be forgiven for your part in this.
Prick

You wouldn't ask modric or gazza to track the right winger Inside the LB.
That's was Dejis man not Albie.
Fck me Lee we need some creativity going forward not our most creative player tracking runs in the box.
While I'm on it does he watch McGeadys tracking back how comes he stays on????
We got 2 sometimes 3 CDMs on the pitch and he wants Morgan tracking runners in the box.
We need to win Lee
Perhaps he should start looking at himself & his decisions. Stop playing Oshilaja at left back for a start.
He's not doing it to be a prick, he's doing it to try and help them
Shocking.

We need something at Birmingham though preferably a win.
