2021 - We just miss out on a play off spot, following continuing inconsistent form.
2022 - NA's major rebuild finds us challenging throughout the season, in a much more competitive league 1, ultimately just missing out on the autos and losing the play off final to Sunderland.
2023 - Once again we just fall short of the autos, and lose in the play off semis despite dominating both games against Millwall.
Andrew Barclay joins the board of Crystal Palace
2024 - Nigel Adkins is sacked following a poor start to the season. Chris Solly appointed manager.
PL strugglers Crystal Palace win the FA Cup Final2025 - Thomas Sandguard announces he is selling the club to devote more time to his ailing American businesses, also citing disappointment at low attendances (15k) and season ticket sales (8k)
2026 - Roland Duchatelets son announces he intends tonsell-off The Valley and Sparrows Lane.
The Charlton board declare they are not in a position to purchase and are seeking alternative arrangements.
My son passes the news to me, but I have no idea who he is or what he is on about
2021 - We just miss out on a play off spot, following a valiant attempt, but the games in hand ultimately cost us.
2022 - NA's major rebuild finds us challenging for top spot throughout the season, in a much more competitive league 1. Ultimately we take 2nd pushing Sunderland into the play offs for the 3rd year in the last five.
2023 - We start the season well, but lack of quality is evident, Andrew Barclay comes on board and helps fund a very good January window. We finish in 8th.
2024 - Nigel Adkins hands over management of the club to Johnnie Jackson as he takes up a DoF role after Gallen moves onto pastures new. We finish in the play offs missing out to a worldy penalty save in the final.
2025 - Sandgaard & Barclay announce they are looking for further investment as they have completed the Training Ground upgrade and acquired Cat 1 status. Attendances are high, but regular sell outs bring questions over whether the Valley can be developed. An Australian shows interest in investing as Charlton are promoted through the play offs.
2026 - Muir, Sandgaard & Barclay announce they have purchased the Valley and made it property of the club once more. Plans begin to complete the 40k stadium upgrade and make the Valley a full bowl. Charlton scrape survival in their first season back in the big time.
2030 - Stadium upgrade is completed, Charlton are relegated having won and been stripped of the Champions League and Premier League after it is found that the Australian Danish Mafia coerced Barclay into investing and it had been a giant scam. Charlton fans cry in the street.15 -

Bet he can be a right bastard when he has to be, so long as its all done behind the scenes and players given the bollockings that they deserve at the right times then thats fine with me. Although equally have no complaints if a player gets mentioned in public if they've done exceptionally wrong either in training or a game1 -

Iron fist in a silk glove as the saying goes.1 -
I think you can be a nice and caring person and still be shrewd and decisive, without being an 'orrid bastard. As someone mentioned earlier, I sure he is capable of making tough decisions, whilst also clearly communicating why he is making the decisions, and treating the players in question with respect. I think we have to get past the notion that people achieve at the highest level by means of abuse.

I'm sure given time he'll be Charltonised and all that positivity will be gone.
Only kidding, seems like a top bloke. Think he'll do well with us but maybe not enough time to impact this season0 -

"Just win games."
I like NA and his videos, I like his philosophy, it's rooted in good sense and it's long term and developmental, it's positive and joyful and I wish some of the miserable, doom merchants on here would adopt it but bottom line remains...
Just win games0 -

Well they were running in the opposite direction to me, and I could see them from a distance and was getting envy at these two physical, healthy, and handsome blokes running towards me at a decent pace.
As they got closer I noticed who it was and tried to make eye contact and give a pleasant good morning nod. JJ probably saw my look of lust and clearly decided not to engage.

Adkins personifies this song
"Woke up this morning feeling fine"

Nige has changed my life. I’ve been using his philosophies on the Mrs. the past couple of weeks. I've been incorporating these phrases when things aren't going well: "Keep it going, you are making a difference..." "Try and keep a smile on your face..." "It's a challenging time for everybody..."
As an example, sexy time ended a bit prematurely last night, so rather than get myself down, I said: “It’s a great opportunity to start again...”
I'm not sure it's working for her, but I feel much better.57 -
That was a mental image I didn't need over lunch...
